This is what happened to me, you make have a different experience.The packaged drum was beautiful. It looked nice, the weight felt good and most of the keys (tabs) sounded good. But the problem was that 4 of the keys were flat. When hit they just made a thud sound, no vibration. This could be just a hit or miss problem. It was a beautiful package.
