Beautiful looking and sounds great. One of the tongues is flat sounding so I will try to adjust it...but even as is this drum is soothing and fun to play

We bought this because of its compromise between size, cost, and number of notes. For a beginner steel tongue drummer, this is ideal and much better than smaller diameter variants. It has more depth of sound as a result of the larger diameter and height, and it's significantly louder than the smaller versions. Having 13 notes means more melodies are playable and drummers can explore more complex or creative techniques. Sound quality is great, no scratchy tinny artifacts when struck properly, and the vibrations and reverb are silky smooth. Overall, we are impressed with this instrument!

Bought this for a 6 yr old and it was the hit of the party. He loves the steel drum sounds and it is a great size for his small hands. Good quality! I would buy this again.... maybe for myself. 😀

Maybe I got a bad one, idk, but it sounds like a tin can. No true resonance. Sure it comes with a lot fo stuff, but that's not worth it when it sounded so bad. Hopefully everyone else's is better.
