I've had a Mackenzie Roll for years, and I've liked it, but it wore out and so I thought I'd explore other options. This lumbar/back-support "pillow" is, as you probably know, a top Wirecutter choice. I find it great. It's easy to place correctly on almost any type of chair (it does have a strap to place over or strap around a chair's back if you so desire, but it's also easy enough just to place in position if your chair's back and seat are very close together or all one piece) and it's wide enough to support your entire lower back. It's a bit larger than a Mackenzie Roll but it's not really bulky -- it fits in my backpack as I travel from work site to work site. The support is firm, not pillowy/squishy, which is exactly what I need.

Love this lumbar support pillow! I have orders others but they were too hard or small or caused even more pain after using. Finally, I thought I would try one last time, or spend over a thousand dollars on a motorized Lazzyyboy, you know the brand, because it has a remote control to adjust and personalize the lumbar support. Well, this pillow feels amazing and fits perfectly in my old manual recliner. The strap is too small to fit around the recliner but I don't mind. I have problems with my sciatic joint and this pillow really helps to ease the pain. It's comfortable too, just right in firmness! Buy one, try it, it works!!

5'5" 277 lbsI bought this (regular support cushion, NOT the "Soft" support cushion) to use in the car, as well as in an electric scooter, for a Disney trip. I get a lot of low back pain when driving more than 45 minutes to an hour or sitting in a scooter at theme parks all day. This is the perfect size for what I was needing and it's not too thick to push me too far forward. It's very comfortable and easy to adjust where I need it, the strap also seems to be quite sturdy and adjustable, with a little bit of a rubber strip on one side to keep it from sliding..... Although no need for strap in car. The only one thing I can say slightly negative, is that it was "almost" a little too soft after using it for a bit. It's a memory foam so it does squish in a bit more than expected especially under my weight (277 lbs), HOWEVER, it still stayed supportive enough and didn't push me too far forward in my scooter. I am also using it on my sofa while watching TV.Good purchase!

I have back problems and have had 3 back surgeries. I need lumbar support to help with my pain relief especially since I work 12 hour shifts. I have a leather couch and this slumber support stays put without even having to attach it around the back. The quality is fantastic and firm. It’s very functional and I just bought a second one for my car, which doesn’t seem to give me enough lumbar support. I love the height and the curve on the bottom for room for my fanny. I have bought so many of these and finally found one that helps with my pain relief.

Would like to give this a five star. I bought this 2/24/20 the upper support has gone flat and the cover twists where I can’t keep seem out of center. I have had multiple back surgeries and I spinal cord stimulator put in for pain. Saying all of that this is an excellent pillow and gave Support and relief Until a couple of weeks ago. All of the above stars was giving before this has all happened. It is such an excellent pillow I thought about buying another one in case I just got a bad one, reviews are why I purchased this. It’s a lot of money to risk to see if another one would be alright.

I’ve tried so many lumbar pillows on my office chair over the years, finally found one that works! Lower back pain is gone. Give this pillow a good week to break in and find the right spot.

I used someone else's, and I had to buy myself one! It's an awesome pillow if you sit all day at work! A little pricey, but worth it.

I get lower back spasms occasionally, worsened by working from home during lockdown. I've tried bolster pillows with a little success and molded back forms before with no success. The molded back forms always seemed like they were the wrong shape for me at 5'3". I decided to try this as it indicated that it would be good for people with short torsos. The relief was instant. I use it both at my desk chair, but also when sitting on my sofa watching tv. In combination with some lower back exercises, this solved my spasms in less than a week. I'm ordering a second one as back-up. The grey RS1 is fairly firm--certainly my weight is not compressing it. P.S, My cat has decided she loves to lie against it, too, and it's exactly the length of her body! Great whole body support for an arthritic feline. If I get up from the sofa, she steals my spot by the support pillow. I need two.
