Not that easy to install but that’s the fault of the shampooer not the belt. Fits perfectly. Let YouTube help you.I’m writing four months later. I got some carpet fringe stuck in the shampooer and no surprise, the belt snapped. What was the surprise was the heated , gooey tar like mess it left behind which required petroleum solvents to clean up. Maybe they all do this. I guess I’ll find out.

This proved to be a perfect replacement for the broken belt on our PowerDash Pet rug cleaner. Installation is fairly straightforward, After removing the bottom cover over the belt area and the brush head, you'll find that there is a little space between the shaft of the drive motor and the casing. That little space allows you to slip the belt onto the drive shaft without removing additional parts. Then you need to loop the other end of the belt around the brush head and place the brush head back into its slots. That's the only challenging part, since the belt is (deliberately) pretty tight and stretching it while replacing the brush head takes some effort.

Bought it to replace the hoover pet spot cleaner belt that ripped during use. It's a little tight or small compared to what came with the hoover model but it does the job it's intended for although installing takes some strength to fit the roller back in place.

We borrowed a compact carpet cleaner from some friends and the belt went out in it after using it for awhile. I looked everwhere locally that sold them and no one carried the things. Even online stores that had them wanted alot more for them if they even had them in. Found these guys and they fit great and lower price. They seem to be holding up pretty good so far! So if you have a compact carpet cleaner like the one I borrowed I would recommend buying a two or four pack so you have them on hand when you need them.

I’m pretty pissed off by this worst-ever Amazon purchase. They either put the wrong item(s) in the packaging at a warehouse, or this listing has an incorrect title and description as the product I received does not come close to fitting the FH50700 Hoover as described. It’s at least 3 full inches too short in circumference. Now I need to go out of my way to return it AND pay $1 for the drop off, find another one and wait even longer to fix my Hoover. I should not have to inconvenience myself to return this at all and I should receive a refund without returning it or they should come pick it up themselves if they want it. (Lighter shown for scale.)

The belt broke the first time it was used. Within seconds after correctly installing it, the belt melted and broke in the machine and I could smell burning rubber. I used the instructions given by Hoover as well as a video to guide me and I know the belt was installed correctly.
