The photo shows my old igniter hot rod beside the new one. The old one was causing the traeger to trip the gfci breaker. The new one works great and with the two pack I have an extra when this one decides to burn out some day. So far so good.

Bought this to replace 3yr old igniter. Build quality feels the same as OEM igniter. Fairly easy install. Fired right up and has been in weekly use since install. Long term life TBD.

Everyone that has a pellet grill will need to replace the hot rod at some point. It seems to me the name brand ones don't last any longer. This includes 2 so your always prepared when one burns out

It worked great. But it comes in a zip lock bag, with no directions. You'll have to YouTube it. But it's easy. The hardest part was loosening the set screw. You will need an Allen wrench that has a bend, to make the angle

The factory Traeger igniter has tubes that protect the 2 wires that come out the shaft. This product does not. Both, yes both igniter wires broke off. Wires do not just break. Something in the manufacturer process must have damaged them and the thin vinyl jackey is all that was holding the wires on. I was beyond careful when attempting to install the second igniter (package of 2). As I am twisting the igniter into the bowl, one of the wires just comes off. This is aggregating now because I have a package of pork steaks I wanted to smoke today with no way to smoke them now. Fishing the plug of the igniter to the control box is not the simplest thing to do unless you remove the fan. I prefer not to remove parts that I don’t necessarily have to.
