When my ignition switch for my Char-Broil gas grille corroded to the point of failure, this item was the matching replacement. Even though it's a generic brand, it worked correctly on the first try after installation. Good $ savings from the official replacement item.

My old igniter failed (embarrassingly about 2 years ago). I used a long nosed lighter for that time. Finally, I ordered a replacement. When it was time to cook a steak, I almost reached for the lighter.The old unit came out by just using my hands - the nut was snug, but not impossibly tight. With the quick connect leads I swapped everything across to this igniter and put it in place. I think it took only 5 minutes or so. I swapped the battery across from the old one (with a new battery handy if needed).I turned on the gas, pushed the button, and it was flame on!Positives:* Easy to install* Much better than using a handheld lighterNegatives:* I can't think of any except why I waited so long to buy it

My ignition switch decided to play up , so the hunt went on to find a replacement.Weber being an American product and brand I found it difficult to locate an original official spare in the UK .There are plenty of copies and Chinese imports available but I wanted an original part as I know 100% that Weber products are of a high quality and standard.After many days of trying to track one down I was just about ready to order a Chinese copy out of desperation, but luckily came across this item before I clicked the buy button.This item was Amazon EU product and I think it was shipped from Germany 🇩🇪 and due to this took a couple of weeks to land on my doormat.I’m so glad I waited as the item is an Original Weber part, build quality is excellent, no issues in removing the faulty one and replacing it with this one ( took less than 5 mins )It worked first time and has continued to work ever since installation .If you can be patient on delivery 🚚 I have no reservations in recommending this item for an easy high quality replacement

I ordered this kit not sure if it was right... it was you will need a pair of pilers to remove old broken wires and to push and pinch the new ones into place. it ignited on the first push. so happy with simplicity and price.
