The cup is much more robust than the original. the fit was exact. I reused my old igniter because there was nothing wrong with it, but it was nice to have a spare just in case I needed it. Overall, it is an excellent product at a reasonable price. It took about 30 minutes to install, mostly due to me needing to clean the pit.

Both the fire pot and igniter fit perfectly in my almost 4 yr old zgrill. Tie a sturdy string onto igniter wire pull out into fire pot area, use string to pull the new wires back through. There's 1 little hole you have to work the ends through. It fired right up, and worked like brand new. I wasn't going to replace the fire pot, and not the igniter, so this was exactly what I needed.

Works perfectly. Fits great. The new screws for the pot didnรขโฌโขt want to fit so has to use the old ones which is no big deal

I purchased my pitboss on chClearance missing parts at Walmart for almost $300 off. This was one of the pieces missing and this did not disappoint installation was a tad tricky not to do with the part, but more so just the system overall. Great buy and option looks great.

I ordered this for my parents' PitBoss Austin XL grill after their original hotpot started rusting through and became unusable So far, so good! It's been several weeks and my dad had no problem installing this one at all! Although the grill's original igniter seemed fine, my mom and I convinced him to just replace the whole set, which he did. The PitBoss is back in business! It's had no problems with under -heating or overheating, and I'm very grateful to some of you other reviewers out there who gave some very helpful tips about igniter placement. I won't know how long it lasts for some time, but it's off to a great start. I will edit my review if anything changes.

This is actually more of an upgrade than a replacement. My stock burn pot had rusted through after four years of use, and it's obvious that this pot is quite a bit sturdier.Replacing the ignitor element can be tricky since it requires opening your hopper box - the screws holding it together are gummy and will strip easily - but that's on Pit Boss, not the seller.
