My 2016 Weber Genesis E-310 LP need some spring cleaning and a hardware refresh, including a new igniter. After watching a few online videos on how to approach the swap-out of the igniter, in which the users mentioned "less expensive" options, I ultimately decided to stick with this Weber branded kit because of brand recognition, quality and warranty. As many other reviewers have pointed out, you do not need to take your grill completely apart to swap this out. Look up the videos online, you will be happy you did. Very happy with this purchase, works like a charm.

I had replaced my failed Weber igniter with a knock - off thinking they looked the same so all should be fine. Well, the button required a lot of manipulation to actually work. After a while of this I bought this genuine Weber kit and it is night and day different. One easy press and all burners ignite instantly. Easy install in less than 10 minutes. Highly recommend. Spend a bit more for quality and avoid frustration.

Replaced 3 ignitors and starter module on an 10 year old Weber Genesis model 310. Used Aero Kroil to overnight soak screws and bolts before loosening. Bolts on burner tubes were frozen. Removed tubes to inspect, but that isn't necessary to replace ignitors. Ignitor wiring and module are color coded. Took less than 1/2 hour to replace. Instructions were easy to follow, (they came in 20 different languages).Watched a You Tube video called "Weber Grill Repair - Installing the Igniter Kit (Weber Part # 65942)"

After reaching out three times to Weber and them sending me a battery one time and then the wrong parts. I just went on Amazon and ordered this and there was a video on YouTube and it was so easy to put together and now my igniter works don’t waste your time Weber they just give you the runaround and send you aftermarket parts. This was a little pricey at $52 but worth every penny!

I forgot how fast the igniter cycled. My grill is about 12 years old and it was time for a replacement as I replaced the original battery recently before my purchase and it wasn’t much better. The replacement part is spot on.

Instructions were detailed and in multiple languages, so you can't really screw it up. The parts fit like a glove and installation was a breeze. Should have done it a few seasons ago. Also purchased hew burners and flavor bars, essentially rebuilt the inside. Grill is like new!

This starter is a genuine replacement for the Genesis 300 series BBQ. Works fantastic.There are other much much cheaper starters out there on the market, but I only wanted to do the replacement once. Yes, you are on your back a lot to feed wires and so forth. It made no sense to try a 3rd party lookalike as this is an electronic starter that is used outdoors and is subject to rain and the extreme heat of the BBQ.The only negative I have is the excessive cost of this original part. There should be some thought given to pricing these a little less than three times of some of the competitor starters.
