I was thrilled to find a "made in USA" pet comb that actually works! The construction of this comb is excellent. A big "plus" is the square tang on which the handle is mounted, thus preventing the tang from becoming loose from the handle (which is a big problem when the tang is round). Note that the handle of the actual product is not as depicted in the photo accompanying Amazon's product description. The actual handle is better - it includes a shoulder (or bolster) at the handle-end nearest the comb, thus providing for a good thumb rest. The handle is a combination of semi-soft and rigid plastic, making for very comfortable gripping. For the "fine" grade comb I purchased, the tines are about 1 mm in diameter (and maybe just a wee bit larger), and are spaced-apart by a gap of about 1 mm.The comb worked best on a German Shepard dog in removing loose undercoat. Results were not quite as good on a Golden Retriever, and even less good on Newfies. I mostly use the comb to remove "bedstraw" seeds from the paws and legs of my Newfies (and to this end, it works very well). (Grooming Newfies is difficult - I use a pin brush, a comb, a mat-breaker and a rake, all in different orders, and combinations, depending on the time of the season. Daily grooming is a "must" for Newfs.)This is a somewhat expensive comb - I paid about $25 for it (and could have gotten it for less if I had waited, but I desperately needed it to get the bedstraw seeds out of my Newfies).

I have a very furry little polydactyl girl who is prone to knots behind her ears and the "I just woke up" look. Never having a long-haired cat before, I've tried many, many combs and brushes through the years--some expensive, some cheap. This comb is AWESOME. I use it around her ears as well as her chest, thighs, and tummy. She doesn't mind it (it doesn't pull) and it quickly does the job of making her look less bedraggled. Her brother is a short-haired orange boy (believe it or not, they are biological siblings) and I wasn't intending on using this comb on him. However, he was jealous of the attention his sister was receiving, so I used the comb on him. It's actually pretty darn good at de-bulking! Also, the Resco folks were super-helpful in answering my many questions. Would definitely purchase again.

This comb is amazing!!!! Usually I have to give my furbaby treats throughout his grooming. And he doesn’t want to do it for long. I normally only can do a little bit and wait awhile and go back to it. While I was combing him with this comb, he actually fell to sleep!!! I was able to give him a real good brushing. He is an American Eskimo so lots of fur! I was able to do his whole coat. He has never looked so good. I’ll put s picture later. Just wanted to write this quick.

As a groomer for over 50 years I am so please that a USA company have finally made a everyday come with a easy to use handle. Have been trying to find one for years and so happy that Resco has finally filled that gap.

Round-tipped comb works brilliantly on our Maine Coon cats. They love being brushed, though not so much when it catches a tangle or a mat. Ample strength in this comb to work through or pull past any tangle or mat. Especially great for deep, stubborn tangles.

I like the colour of this comb and the handle makes it easy to use.What I don't like is it doesn't get into my dogs fur, I have Tinetan Mastiffs and although it is nice it just doesn't get down into the hair (nor do the full combs which I bought two of) but as a finishing comb to brush the top coat, face, legs where there is shorter hair, it works well.Though it is good quality and made well, it just doesn't work for my type of dogs who have dense and long coats, other than to be a finishing comb to use just before the ring to smooth down the top layer of fur (my dogs are double coated).Overall it is a good comb for the shorter bits of coat, e.g. Faces.legs and brushing the smooth outer coat, but not for long of dense coats.It is a more expensive comb and I was disappointed it didn't work well for my kind of dogs.

Lol. I am using this as a paper quilling comb. I like the distance between the prongs and it works well for that. We already had one for our cat, so I know that it works well when used to comb a cat as well. :)

We use this comb on our German Shepard/Akita and its wonderful! Trick is to comb at a 45° angle and it gently removes tangles and excess hair. Love how it gathers the hair at the base of the comb so it's easy to remove too.

Very good quality! Perfect tool to deal with mats removal. Teeth are long, strong, and nicely rounded at the end.
