When I installed the mirror I tightened the nuts until I was afraid I would break the glass, which happened with my last mirror, but even that tight, the mirror still flopped around and I knew it wouldn’t stay adjusted. So I bought some neoprene washers and put them on the shaft first, to increase the friction between the nuts and the mirror body. That seemed to work. Other than that it’s a great mirror.

Mirror has long screw that goes through the length of the mirror and you cannot tighten the nuts enough without cracking the mirror and then still will not stay in position.
