As an avid footballer who plays 3-4 times per week as a part-time goalkeeper, these were a great value with a classic look; and at my age (42), the generous hip padding helps. I only wear them on a natural pitch (I always wear pants on turf) and show no signs of wear so far.

They fit a little oddly, especially if you're a girl. I was worried the padding wouldn't protect my hips that well, but as long as you're diving correctly, you should be fine. They seem to be very well made, but they did run large for me, so I would recommend buying a size smaller if you're a female!

Fit as expected... Med fits probably from 31-35" (I wear 33). They do have drawstring for secure fit. The padding in the hips is nice... thin, but it absorbs a little impact as you dive, and saves your hips from hard-ground bruises. These are more functional in hot weather than the full-length goalie pants I have from Reusch, and seem to be just as well made. As the weather gets cooler, I'll probably wear these padded shorts under the padded full-length pants for extra protection?

My son was satisfied with this type of protection from strawberries commonly encountered in front of the net. He's been a soccer goalie for more than half his life, being 39. I can's say first hand how durable or how well they perform, but he's used Reusch equipment for years.

Decent goalkeeper shorts for the price. Fit true to size, I am 5' 10" 150lbs with 31 inch waist and got them in Medium. Padding is minimal. I suggest wearing protective undershorts with these, especially if you're playing on hard surfaces.
