These closet pull downs are easy to install and they work great. They seem very sturdy. Note that I did reinforce my closet system where it attaches to the wall since these pulldown rods put more than the usual stress on the closet system. My one complaint is the plastic bumpers that you must insert into the mounting bracket to cushion the pulldown arm at the bottom. I purchased six closet pulldowns in two sizes and on two of the units the bumpers broke upon insertion. Apparently, there is some type of interference inside the mounting bracket that puts stress on the bumper. Four of the six did not have that problem. Three of the pulldowns were purchased from retail stores and they came with a different type of bumper that was much sturdier. However, I found that it did not fit correctly and simply used the original bumpers since extras were shipped with every unit that I purchased.

This is a tough review to write. These work wonderfully. They fit great in my prefab IKEA closet unit. BUT I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO NEED THEM TO GET MY CLOTHES OUT OF THE CLOSET; I am soon going to be confined to a wheel chair. When you have a diagnosis of an incurable auto immune disorder, you hope for the best but make preparations for the worse. These are for the Worse. They are very easy to install. The adjustable lengths is very helpful. They have a strong hinge/ counter weight so you won't have your clothes falling on your head and they rotate back up smoothly with very little pressure. It is a high quality product that I think will last as I live in this residence which is being modified for me to be here as a "Forever Home" with extra space for live in care. So I HATE having to HAVE them, But one day I will LOVE Having them..

This products serves useful function, but because I am replacing the same exact system a couple of years later, the design has changed in several ways, and the instructions were not at all clear for many of the pieces. Screws did not fit correctly and I had to use those from the older unit. The quality has diminished as well. Lighter metal that does not seem as sturdy.

Have these installed in our walk-in closet! So far they are great. They really help to utilize the entire wall height for extra storage. They are easy to pull down or put up. We have even used an empty one to hang clothes on to dry. Just pull the bar down hang them on it and either raise it or leave it down if it isn’t in the way.

This hardware is great. I built an amour that is 8' tall in a 10'high wall room. Since it is not practical to have a closet rod almost 8' high. This solved the problem. You just pull it down and it pivots out and though you rod is a little under 8' when you pull it down it is around 5'. My wife loves it. It was a great investment for us, it's esthetically and functional home run.

This product is absolutely garbage. For one, even if it worked as advertised it would be very over priced. $124 for probably $25 worth of materials and first year mechanical engineering design is ridiculous. Second, the product is flimsy. The first one was installed when we moved into our house. Admittedly our builders cut corners and so we assumed when the first one snapped into pieces it was because the builder installed it wrong. So we bought another one and it also broke after the 4th pull down. We have several others in the closet installed by the builder and they all sound like they are one semi-uneven pull down from snapping off as well. I would strongly advise against buying this product. I'm a EE and have installed everything from our overhead garage door opener, to ceiling lights, to security system, and this is by far the worst product I have ever had the dissatisfaction of installing. If you read the reviews what you will notice is that this product only works with a very narrow closet space. If you have a wider closet space it is incredibly flimsy and breaks very quickly. It's also a pretty big pain in the ass to install because they don't even label the screw packets and they mix the screws together. Telling me to use an "m3" screw that looks like all the other screws but for size does not make things easy.

This is a good system, but showed up without the attachment for the pulldown rod which connects the metal pull down pole to the horizontal closet rod you can pull it down. Did not have luck contacting supplier and getting the part replaced or finding a replacement part online, so designed and 3d printed the replacement part myself. Now it works beautifully. It's available for purchase if anyone finds themself in a similar situation.

Had the old version and it busted b/c it didn't have metal stops, as you pull down the rod. With the weight, it busted thru the plastic and began to hang cadywampis. Still worked but not well.

The clothes bar was very easy to install. The rod is adjustable and very sturdy. The bar pulls the clothes rod down and retracts back up smoothly and with minimal effort. It is a great way to add more space to your closet as you can now hang your clothes higher, leaving more space below. Would definitely recommend this product.

Works great, now I can easily access items up high. All parts were there. No problems installing. Took husband a few hours because he had to reconfigure closet to maximize use. I am weak and use walker. Bar is fully extended for max width, I have no trouble pulling bar down and having it go back again. And it is fully loaded with clothes!

Put our washer and dryer in our master closet and wanted to hang clothes above conveniently. Couldn't get bigger than 48", so put a 12" cabinet on one wall. Seems to work very well. Need to get things organized and get it filled, but so far, seems great. In the instructions on the pictures, you could see rubber bumpers on the stops. I attached them, but then it would not come down far enough to stay down. Removed the bumpers and works well now.

Bought this for my husband's wardrobe. He loved it. He could reach all his shirts while sitting in his wheelchair.
