Pro-Lite Rhino Series Surfboard Travel Bags

Our Rhino Series Surfboard bags have been time tested and proven to be the most popular among our travel bag options. These bags are designed for airline travel and are available in shortboard, longboard or fish/hybrid and mid length style templates. All styles are packing 10mm of foam to give you that extra protection your boards may need when they step in the ring with baggage handlers. A sewn in divider provides the perfect separation to keep wax from switching boards. Need a place for your stash? Throw it in the secret pull out “storage” pocket. Don’t worry about salted zips on this bag; all molded non-corrosive marine grade zippers will keep the movement smooth for the life of the bag. The Rhino series bags are the perfect option for those short haul strike mission surf trips when you only need to take 1-2 surfboards.

Our Rhino Series surfboard travel bags all feature molded non-corrosive marine grade zippers to extend their life and movement.
Ventilation System
All of the bags in our Rhino Series also feature a cross ventilation system with vents on both the top and bottom of the bag. A closable flap on the inside allows for increased closure to keep moisture out or to be further opened to allow better airflow.
Padded Shoulder Strap
Each bag has a padded shoulder strap system to make carrying your board easy while keeping your hands free. A Velcro connection system also allows you to easily stow away the strap in an exterior pocket when not needed or during airline travel.
Comfortable and durable molded carrying handle is featured on all Rhino series travel bags.

All Rhino styles feature a rear opening with sewn in partition that allows for easy entry while keeping boards separated.

…What a Long, Strange Trip it's Been
Pro-Lite was conceived in the minds of two traveling surfers, Bill Hapgood and Dave Neilson. At the time the pair was working for a major airline and traveling the world. Soon into their travels they realized one key missing ingredient necessary to continue their journey, the need to protect their surfboards.
In 1982 Pro-Lite was born. Bill and Dave searched out industrial sewers in Costa Mesa, CA and began making a limited line of surf travel bags. This put Pro-Lite on the map as the first bag manufacturer to make travel grade surfboard bags in the United States.
As the brands reputation as a quality travel bag manufacturer grew surfers from the United States and around the world looked to Pro-Lite to provide them with the gear to get their surfboards to their destination safely. Professional surfers from around the world used Pro-Lite travel bags as they bounced around the world on tour.
Throughout the 90's Pro-Lite expanded its product offering outside of travel to include a full line of bags for day use as well as leashes, traction pads and car racks. This put Pro-Lite in a position to be the go to brand for any products used to enhance your surfing experience.
The evolution of Pro-Lite continues today with new owners in place since 2005 and a renewed energy and vision to design and manufacture functional and durable surfing accessories. Our key focus is quality and innovation. Pro-Lite is first and foremost a travel company and will continue to make products that are designed for surf and travel.

I haven’t traveled with the bag yet, but the bag is super heavy duty And fits my board really well. I got this bag for a SUP, a 7’4â€x28†Starboard Air Born. For anyone riding a small SUP this is an awesome bag. I can easily fit an additional surfboard in the bag if needed. I have traveled with a SUP quite a bit and the bags available for SUPs are big and bulky and hard to handle, I’m looking forward to an up coming trip with this bag!!

Fits two boards perfect, can definitely fit three. Bought this for a surf trip down to South America, never once got a ding on my board through various flights. Really great padding, and the extra pockets come in very handy to hold towels, leashes, fins, sunblock, etc. I plan on keeping this board bag forever and it could very well last that long, it's made so well.

We purchased this travel bag to ship a new surfboard to our friend abroad. So we were worried about the size of the bag, how it will fit the board and how good will be protection.The size was perfect and for the additional protection we’ve put a lot of small airbags and a few towels inside (mostly for the nose of the board)Everything worked great, everyone was happy.

Flew on multiple flights without any board damage or bag damage. Multiple pockets for fins, wax, leash, and 2 boards. Shoulder strap folds away into the bag so it doesn’t get wrecked in travel. Great bag, no regrets.

Zipper handle broke when closing the bag to leave for the trip. Inside fabric ripped after the trip back. Not enough to survive an Indonesia trip.Other than that, my surfboards survived.
