I like that this brand has large chunks of coconut that are similar inside to pathway bark. Great for growing my aroids.

These are coconut hull chips that are easy to separate and use. Great to use in larger pots or the garden

Without this quality chunky coir I do not believe my philodendrons , pothos and monstera plants would be doing as well as they are . Water flows right thru the drainage holes in the pots as it should, yet the roots are anchored well and nutrients stored .I will not use any other type for the tropical plants I own and sell !

UPDATE: The supplier reached out to me and apologized for the issues and addressed my concerns. I received a full refund for the product and they assured me this is not something that they have ever experienced before.

Wasn’t too tough to break up especially after adding a little water, the larger chunks are nice compared to the more fine powder like option elsewhere.

This product promotes moisture retention even with a very thin layer. I am very pleased with how it is helping me with my 5 gallon bucket garden. The best way to hydrate the logs is to pour a small amount of HOT water onto them. You only need enough water to cover them once - DO NOT add so much water that they are soaking in it!

This is the first time I‘ve bought this product and did so after becoming interested with having indoor plants to make my conservatory more interesting. These Coco Chips Substrate arrive in a firm brick, it is easy to pull apart, you don’t need much, it just help the potting soil mix I use to be more free draining and of course go a little further. My plants appear to enjoy the more free draining aspect as I had become guilty of overwatering during the winter months.

this substrate isn’t the worst but it dries out very fast and smells a bit too strong. overall it’s ok but wouldn’t buy again
