I sold my canoe and made the mistake of including my original roof top blocks in the sale so the buyer could get the canoe home. I also use these to carry my 28' extension ladder on the roof of my SUV - had to buy another set. These were much better than my old set - the material doesn't slide on the roof, but it is firm enough that they compress the correct amount. Perfect! Would have also worked great for the canoe.

These have transported our relatively large aluminum canoe on multiple 5-6 hour drives to the Adirondacks without issue. The canoe is pretty secure once strapped down and these are thick enough to protect my cars finish from the canoe. Occasionally the canoe shifts slightly during driving but only in high winds. Works very well.

If you found these foam blocks, you know what you're getting. A 6x3x3" standard block (x2) that's been supporting our canoe for decades. I lost a foam block of 4 for my sedan and was sad for a while. Cut a white packaging foam shipping foam to size and it's alright for short trips. This purchase was the only option for replacement short of buying a more expensive set. Price may vary but 7 bucks was on point.

These are okay, but after only one use the foam is already getting torn up, while my old blocks that these are replacing are in better shape. The foam material seems too easily damaged and torn.

I used these foam pads on a MadRiverCanoe with strange gunwales. Despite the odd shape, the pads held on perfectly.

Worked perfectly. Was in the market for a canoe and wasn't sure when I could pick it up so I just keep these in my car all the time. They take up no space and work great for transporting the canoe.

A few of the pieces seemed to almost be from a different run. Some pieces were slightly thicker than others (only by 1/8th of an inch mind you) and the colour was slightly off. Nonetheless they will keep your canoe in place while protecting your roof. They work as needed, and don’t disappoint… Unless you have OCD.

The dimensions are listen in the posting so it’s really on me, but they should advertise the pics to more accurately reflect the size of the product. Also did not fit around my roof crossbars as that was my intended use. Return was easy no complaints there.
