These were listed as 1/4", 3/8",1/2" but they were metric, close but not exact. I needed a plug to repair a hole in a oak floor. I made 2 plugs of different sizes and they worked. There was some smoke but the plugs were not burnt and worked as I had hoped. They were packed all together in a plastic bag but they did not appear to be damaged.I got what I expected, a couple of cheep plugs. I would not buy these if I needed a lot of plugs.

I've only used two of the provided sizes but I've cut around 30 plugs combined out of Oak, Maple, Mahogany and Alder very successfully - to lengths between 1/4" and 3/8". I was not expecting these to last more than a few cuts before dulling enough to make them worthless, but I experienced no burning or stalling. I did use a drill press and ran them at ~500rpm. I did have to buy a 10mm bit to use the plugs from the 10mm cutter, but a 15/64" bit worked for the 6mm cutter perfectly.I don't need to cut plugs very often, so I don't know if these would hold up to constant use, but for my infrequent use case and the price, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I was disappointed when I received this product, it needed to be sharpened before I could really use it. Once it was sharp it worked as expected. Not the best quality.

These plug cutters work just fine made the job easier and are priced right.

Very poor quality. Cutters cut plugs too small. Especially the 1/4†cutters. They’re producing plugs of .240â€, which just swims in a hole that’s .250.My press runout is almost non existent. Bit runs true. Just very poor quality grinds (inaccurate).Do not buy.

I have only tried the smaller 2 punches. One is fine the 1/4 inch is unusable. I was hoping from the reviews that everyone did not have a steady hand. I am using a drill press. Someone posted a pic of .23 with calipers and I get exactly the same. If you are using this to plug .25 holes this is way too sloppy. Even if you used wood glue and sanded it wet it would not hide the gap. The 3/8 wobbles in the chuck but the ID is straight enough to produce a good plug. The size of the plug is exactly right.

I understand now why people are complaining about these bits. You will NOT be able to use these with a hand drill without the steadiest of hands. A drill press combined with the bits make an AMAZING pair. Work like a dream. Exactly as advertised. I used them to pull out dozens of old rusted nails from a fifty year old plus wooden table which had been left outside for at least that long.

Not razor sharp. I would not use this set on high end pieces for best results. Good enough for shelving or simple box's 'etc'.
