First I'll address the sizing of the jacket. I am 5' 10'' and weigh 196 lbs. I normally wear a large in men's jackets. Because of the reviews and questions answered by other purchasers on Amazon I ordered an XL. I wanted to be able to have layers of clothing underneath to keep warm riding in southeastern Michigan winters. The XL will allow me to do this. The jacket fits good. The sleeves are a little long but not a problem.The function of the jacket is great. I have ridden for about a month now in temperatures ranging from about 45 degrees to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. In warmer weather I wore a long sleeve t-shirt under the jacket. In colder weather I've worn a short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirt. I've never been cold or too hot because the jacket breathes great. I do sweat but that's to be expected. That's the point of riding! When the weather gets colder I'll wear a sweatshirt under the jacket. I'm impressed with the performance of the jacket. The pockets are plentiful and useful. They are large enough for my cell phone and wallet. In addition to the outside pockets there are a couple of inside pockets on both sides of the lower front of the jacket. The front zipper takes some getting used to as it is the opposite of zippers on most American clothing. The front and pocket zippers also have little pulls which are not easy to work with but none of these features are show stoppers. I also like the very tall neck of the jacket to protect my neck from the cold. Riding in cold weather the only part of my body that got cold was my face. The only thing I would change on the jacket is the color. For safety black isn't the best/brightest color. There are some small reflective parts of the jacket but I don't think they are sufficient. I wear a lightweight netted fluorescent green vest over the jacket.Over all I am very happen with my purchase of this jacket. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. Thus I give it 5 stars!

I bought the 4x since I need a little extra space around my midsection. 3x probably would have fit fine over just a t-shirt or a thin layer, but if I choose to wear a sweatshirt underneath, the 3x would probably be too tight. The front zipper is sturdy and has a zipper pull on it, but all the other zippers are missing zipper pulls. I have thick fingers and it's sometimes difficult to get a grasp of the zipper to open or close the pocket. The chest pocket is fairly deep and can hold a good size phone (mine is 6.3" x 3"), but the zip opening for the pocket is fairly small and I can't even get my hand inside - i have to fish my phone out with a couple of fingers. The side pockets go straight in, instead of angling down towards the center zipper of the jacket. This leaves a lot of opportunity for things to fall out of the pocket easily when the pocket is not zipped closed (this already happened with my phone, but luckily I heard it fall & retrieved it with no damage). The vents are a nice feature in warmer weather, but there's no way to secure them closed to prevent cold wind from getting inside when you are out in very cold weather. This proved to be somewhat annoying to me while I was out biking on a cold day. While the jacket fits okay overall, especially in the midsection where I was focused when purchasing, the shoulders are very wide, and the sleeves too long for my liking, making the cuff with thumbhole fairly useless. The jacket works okay for my purposes, however, I will likely not purchase another one since there are too many things that just don't fit right for my body style. Instead of a 4XL, it seems to fit more like a 4XLT. As far as overall satisfaction, I was teetering between 3 and 4 stars, but rounded up because the jacket seems sturdy and comfortable, and has a good amount of storage space in the multiple pockets.

Great Jacket for a fraction of the price of most good bicycling jackets. Bike shirt and this jacket at 45 degrees will keep me warm. Any colder I add a base layer and I am good.

I bought this for cold weather coming up this winter. I wore it today and it was super super warm in 50 degrees, I wish there were options for more ventilation. This jacket looks really good and fit well. I am 5'6" 155lbs and medium fit perfectly. Can't wait to wear this in the winter. Also, the finger hole in the sleeve is nice and you can tuck it out of the way when you don't want it.

Love this jacket. Took it with me to Alaska and it kept me warm while looking cool. The inner fleece is very warm and soft. Love the pull out hand glove warmers, definitely came in 'handy' . I will say the bottom zipper is a little hard to zip, but not bad. I will wear this for years to come, i would recommend.Size was perfect for me. Got a medium and I'm 6' 170lbs athletic slim build.
