The Rockville RDS42 portable performers chair is suitable for DJ’s and all types of musicians. Its lightweight and features an easy fold-and-go design, so it’s portable and easy to transport. The chair is constructed of heavy duty steel tubing and has a sturdy load capacity of up to 300 pounds.

The 12” circular foam padded seat features extra cushioning so that prolonged use does not cause distress, pressure or fatigue. The unique lean in design allows performers and DJ’s to remain sitting but look like they are leaning over and standing during their performance. This allows you to stay comfortable without looking like you’re sitting down on the job. Also included is a rubberized cushioned foot rest to reduce foot fatigue during long gigs.

With 5 adjustable heights, from 22” to 31” the RDS42 will fit any performer and at any workable height. The rear backrest is also nicely padded for extra comfort and adjusts in height with the seat. The tool-less design allow you to easily assemble and adjust both the seat and back rest height with just the twist of a knob.

This is an extremely sturdy, solid, heavy duty chair.It is also a very heavy chair.It doesn’t fold up as small as I had hoped, and it will take more room in my trunk than I expected, but it will do; 1 screw has to be undone for the back rest to fold down.I do not intend this to be a negative review, by any means; but just beware that this thing is going to take up some space in storage and transport, and it’s quite heavy.Height adjustments for the seat, back, and foot rest are fairly easy to do.Seat is very well padded, and comfortable to sit on.

It was this for 90 bucks or 500 for K&L. And I got a like new for 52. You can gig with it but I imagine tucking it down in the pit for a week or two run or, or leaving it on stage for the few days of rehearsal prior to your orchestra concert. I could get two to five of these for what the others cost, leave them everywhere you play, lol. I see mine sitting in the home practice space, one in the van. The seat on any of these don't compare to a bicylcle style Roc n Soc seat. I will eventually swap this one out and it should be easy, the plate would accommodate a pnematic assembly I bet. The stock seat is fine, on the smaller side. I didn't think the backrest would be a big deal, I wasn't going to spend the 100 extra just for the other brand backrest alone on theirs. Let me tell you, I was playing on this chair the first time, up in thumb position, going for it too long, I sat back and the relief from the backrest being there was awesome. I never used one my stools before and it is worth the entire purchase. To have that chance to sit back and reset. Maybe you'll feel the same. All bolts thred into a welded on nut, nice. Footrest fully adjustable a removable. Lighter thsn it looks. BAD? Maybe the foot rests spin a little on the tube. Maybe it'll fall apart but other than stripping easily replacable bolts here of there idk. You should consider getting it if you're strapped now, gig it and buy the K&L later. For me I'm good with this thing, 5 stars overall at my price or full.

Having used this for a couple months, I do like this throne; it folds up easily and is plenty sturdy. Also everything is adjustable and your adjustments stay in place like they're supposed to. The seat is thick and firm so you can sit on it for quite a while. BUT -- (ha!) the seat is small. Get your 12" ruler out and ask yourself if you'd be comfortable sitting on a circle with that diameter. I'm not overweight but my butt is about 17" from side to side. So to the eternal question, "does this make my butt look big?" the answer is YES. Not that I care about looks but I'd prefer a little more side-to-side stability.

This chair exceeded my expectations. Although it isn't lite (at about 20lbs) you quickly appreciate the build quality. Plus the number of adjustments you can make to personalize the fit, are amazing. As a fairly big guy (just over 200lbs, just under 6ft tall) I'm not comfortable with most folding guitar chairs. However, this one is built like a tank, and after some fine tuning, it fits me perfectly! Plus, the price was great! Would buy it again in a second!

I set up in some small areas at times and noticed that I could easily miss the seat when sitting down. I suggest that they manufacture a larger seat. Other than that so far that is what I got to say about the chair I’ve used it on a couple of gigs, and still working with it. Hope the company decides to make a larger seat and offer it for replacement. The frame of the seat seems to be well constructed, as far as I know.

This is a nicely built, highly supportive chair for guitar players......but. Unfortunately, the seat cushion is filled with a material that smells terrible. When you sit on the chair and force air from the cushion you are likely to offend anyone near you. It is a wretched smell that does not seem to diminish over time. If you have a sensitive nose or ego I recommend buying another brand of chair. UPDATE. NINE MONTHS LATER THIS CHAIR'S SEAT PAD STILL STINKS. Every time I sit on the chair the pad expells air that smells terrible. Avoid this chair.
