I have tried some of the other types and so disappointed. This works shockingly well. I had no idea there was that much hair. It also places the hair in between the bristles. So easily take off and throw away.I have a constantly shedding husky and shorter carpet.The only con I can forsee is the wire bristles. I don't trust they are strong enough to withstand use.The picture shows the hair I took out. I just sat it on a blanket to see how much. ... Mind you this is what I got out of the carpet AFTER using one of the other brands that advertised on Amazon. It was a small 2-3 foot sq area. I'm honestly embarrassed to post how much hair was under there. Lol.

Thought was expensive, but read reviews, thought to try it, and I love it! Backyard is all grass turf, with crazy walnut that squarles love, rack cleans it all up and makes yard look like a golf green, and the dogs appreciate it. And work terrific on house rugs. Glade I splurged.

Looked at a variety of different takes for artificial turf, online and in person. I had concerns with many of them based on reviews and finally chose this one even though it was more expensive.I installed a couple new, small pieces of turf in the side yard and wanted the rake for adding infill and initial grooming. It worked great for that purpose then tried it on older turf sections. It did a great job of clearing debris that wouldn’t come out with blower (see small bits on pavers on bottom of photo). I was pleased it made easy work of cleaning up bits of soccer ball the dog leaves in the grass.The extension pole is good for shipping purposes, but I’d prefer a fixed pole. Also, the rake head tends to spin loose a little bit in use, so I might put some Teflon tape or loctite on the threads to keep in place.User tip: I found light pressure is more effective than a heavy stroke.

We have multiple shaggy carpets in our home and I bought this thinking it would pull out some of the deeper fur stuck in the rug. Nope. This thing had me sweating and worried I was going to break it after 30 minutes of trying to rake. I have a husky Shepard so I know there is a lot of fur in there but this thing literally pulled out a couple of strands. Not worth the money or your time.

I love this product. I have this shaggy rug that gets little particles in it all the time and this rake makes my rug look great every time. It does make me sweat a little though.

We have a carpet rake already but wanted a longer one to be more effective, however we have pretty flat carpet so this rake did not work for us. The needles are pretty long so it didn’t pick up much dog hair but if you have shag carpet or really plush carpeting this would work great
