I have fussed with trying different kinds of rosin, and I have tried many different brands over the years. I have finally come to the conclusion that rosin is rosin, so why worry about it?This set of 3 cakes of rosin was so inexpensive that I had to try it. I'm very pleased with this rosin.However, 2 of the cakes were cracked when I received them. It was the only thing in this order, so they shipped them in an envelope by U.S. Mail. I would think that if there were other items in the shipment, they would have been much bettter protected in a box with bubble wrap. So make sure you order something else so that the rosin gets protected properly.I used this rosin on my bow for a solo concerto performane with orchestra. The rosin provided great bite on the strings, as good as any rosin I have ever used. I'm quite happy with the results in my sound.The 2 cracked cakes are still quite usable, and they haven't fallen apart yet. So it's not worth bothering to return them and demand a replacement, especially given the very low cost of this 3-cake set.

Perfect for playing the violin. I love how its both sticky and smooth and how compact it is. This rosin does not break easily. I would reccomend this rosin for beginners as it is a lighter rosin with maybe lower quality but it still works well.

I really liked that this rosin is rosin. My nephew is learning the violin and needed rosin for his bow. So I ordered this rosin. And he used it on his bow. I guess it's good rosin, because after using it nothing broke, no toxic gases were emitted and the bow didn't catch on fire while he was playing or anything like that. Rosin!!!!
