Had to modify the holes that mount to bumper as they were oval instead of circle and placing the bumper back on would not fit unless I bored the holes open a little more.

I was ready to mount my new winch and I first unboxed the mounting plate only to find it was missing the front cover plate that goes on the bumper before the fairlead. Instead it came with some strange filler plate that doesn’t make any sense. I’ve purchased several products directly from RC and never had any issues. I clicked on customer support for Amazon and it sends me to RC’s website. After chatting with a RC representative he informs me that he can’t help me because I went through Amazon. So I returned the RC product to Amazon and ordered a different brand through them. I won’t be purchasing any RC products through Amazon again that’s for sure. I’ll just go directly through RC. I can’t count the orders I’ve placed with Amazon on the years and this is the first issue I’ve ever had. I just hope RC can get these kits updated so more customers don’t have the same issue. I saw a review just today where the same thing happened to another customer.

It doesn’t come with the correct front plate for the winch mount.

The mounting plate works perfectly but the kit didn’t come with a plate to cover were the old plastic license plate holder was. Had to fabricate a plate to cover the hole.

The main plate seems like decent quality. All holes lined up, but it doesn’t come with the fairlead mount for the front bumper as it says it does. I’m not sure what the honeycomb plate would be used for

I’m starting to think RC doesn’t know how to pack their stuff correctly. As you can see from the install guide it’s straight forward what I was getting. Yet I open the package and it’s not correct. I’m ready to install today and now I’m scrambling for parts. So frustrated right now.

All good! Was not sure what to expect from Rough Country as have had bad experience with Rough Country products (lift kit) many years ago (2007). Installation went well. Seems sturdy.
