This mute fits well in the bell of a trombone — or flugelhorn, which is why I picked it up. I haven't played on it extensively, but it doesn't seem to mess with pitch too badly. Lightweight and compact, much smaller than other trombone mutes I have. The sound seems to be somewhere between a straight mute and a practice mute; not super useful, but I'm stoked to have another tonal color to add to the recording palette.
