I got these for a used desk that I picked up free for a craft desk. Most of the knobs were missing, but the desk was in good shape. It looks great now with the new knobs. The knobs do have long screws on them, which hasn't been an issue for me, but if it is important that they not stick out past the bolt, you will need to cut the screws.

I used these to transform an old bedroom set that I bought secondhand (see before and after photos) in conjunction with painting the pieces off-white. I first bought one set of 10 knobs, found them pretty easy to install and loved how it came out, so got a total of 30 knobs for the full set.The colors are vibrant, with many designs to choose from. The knob seems well-secured to the shaft and none in my set of 30 were defective. The knob has more of a flat ovoid shape rather than round, but they come with an extra nut adjacent to the knob which holds it slightly further away from the surface, and I find it easy to pull.One thing to keep in mind: Most original furniture or cabinet knobs have a bolt sized for the front panel and so they are secured with a screw through the panel from the inside of the cabinet or drawer into the knob. For that, it has to be exactly sized for the panel thickness. These Royal Kraft knobs however have the bolt attached to the knob, so you insert it into the face of the panel, and screw a nut on inside the cabinet or drawer. So you need to cut it to proper length, and then file the inside so its not sharp. This results in a short length of the bolt and nut protruding on the inside.I found this easy to do by creating a simple jig as a guide. I used a piece of wood that was the same thickness as the front panel plus the thickness of the nut. I drilled a hole the exact diameter of the knob bolt. Then I screwed it in, used a hacksaw to cut it to length, and a metal file to file it smooth. By using a thin piece of wood for the jig, it made it easy to hold, wedgee against the floor, and use the hacksaw flush against it (I used a short piece of hardwood flooring strip). I cut the bolt 1/3 of the way through, then used vice grops to snap it off, the filed it smooth.

Update: we got some epoxy and the 2 are now set for life. Out of all I looked for, the design on these was the best fit for me. Really lovely design. I do think in future I would want a bit ..larger...better hand grasp if it would come out more but not greater diameter for type of cabinet design I have. Gave 4 star instead of 5 just because 2 screws came off the knob. But I wouldn't have changed to another just because of it..yup..love these. 1st review: Everything went well. Screws were a bit too long but they could be cut down if needed. One piece came loose so we will reglue. That may be an issue, that the screw is glued on. After less than a week, another one came loose and will be reglued I hope. I purchased a set years ago for bedroom furniture and they are still working good...never loosened. Will know next week if it works...the hole is a bit larger than the screw so what it needs isn't what I have right now. Will update review.

Rescued this stand from the side of the road. lots of work went into it, but the knobs are wonderful. Really highlighted the color. The stems are just the right length.
