Fits like a charm, lots of space for backpacking... he carried his food bags as well as his sleep jacket and blanket. All stayed dry!! Even will river crossings that were deep enough to make him swim a little. Highly recommend.

Bought 2 med for my 2 dogs (important to measure them for fitting) and they fit great so I am slowly working the dogs with just the harness to adjust to them walking and running. Next will be with pouches holding the water containers that come with this product. Worth the price for sure but beware the MED is hard to find so gran it if you find it!

This is a very well put together and thought out pack. Honestly, I couldn’t find anything to compete with it on the market, it’s kind of expensive but buy once cry once. I highly recommend combining it with the brush guard thing, though, is that that helps distribute the load way better. My dog was able to run around without it getting out of balance and overall he seemed a lot more comfortable than in his older one.If you do a lot of serious camping/ hiking with your dog I highly recommend

I have a ~65-70lb female GSD. I measured her chest girth at 30" before ordering. Medium goes up to 32" and large/XL starts at 32" so I got a medium.The harness is maxed out on all the strap adjustments and it seems to fit but is slightly tight. I wish there was some overlap in sizes so people could purchase a size up or down if they were on the edge to allow for more adjustment and fine tuning.Unfortunately I feel like I'm at an impasse regarding whether or not to return it. I think I'm just going to take her out and see how it fits and watch for hotspots. I'll update the review once we get some miles on it.

I have a 62 lb chow lab mix who loves to swim and hike. After searching for quite some time I decided to overlook the extremely high price point and buy this pack, as I thought it would be a pack for life. After only 4 hours of wearing this pack a buckle critical to the packs design fell off. Without this buckle to pack frequently becomes lopsided and uncomfortable to my dog. After contacting the company directly, in hopes of a replacement part, I was told I would not be issued the part, as they do not replace parts that break due to general wear and tear. I am still baffled that a bag as expensive as this would fall apart so quickly. It is a nice looking bag, but unfortunately I would not recommend it to a friend.

This backpack is fantastic. It fits well and it has so many adjustment features that it is fabulous. It looks better in real life too :)

I figured, I'll try it.... can always return it. Oddly enough, I like it. If the "others" are $50, I can see this one being double and a bit. But $215?!? Problem is, there's nothing else to compete with it, so they can charge what they want. I like it, a lot, it's not worth $215..... but I won't be returning it.

Had to buy both medium and large to see which size fit our dog the best. The sizing method provided was USELESS. According to measurements the dog required a large, which did NOT fit at all. Same issue with the highlands dog sleeping bag, medium was too small, and he needed a large which won’t fit in his medium pack. Ruffwear needs to come up with a better sizing method. Very frustrating. Quality is excellent though.
