This is a very well constructed dog backpack. I evaluate dog packs based on how easy they are to put on my dog and how stable the pack it once it's on the dog while my dog is walking or running. First, this pack is super easy to put on. After adjusting the neck strap, it's just a matter of slipping the strap over my dog's head and then clipping the belly strap buckle together. I have other dog packs that have two buckles that have to be clipped together - one for the neck and one for the belly. This one is easier to put on my dog if only because I have to clip together just one buckle, rather than two. Additionally, the buckle is placed above the canvas material, which protects my dog from accidentally getting her skin pinched in the buckle when I'm clipping the buckle together. I have other dog harnesses where the buckle does not have this protection and I've accidentally pinched my dog's skin on occasion. All it takes with my dog is 1 or 2 accidental pinches and then they don't ever want to wear that harness/pack again. Finally, this pack stays in place and is stable when my dog is walking or running.

The sizing on these things is nearly impossible to get perfect. That said, I was able to adjust it enough to make it tight and secure on my dog with a little alteration. Dogs come in all shapes and sizes so just going off if chest girth will only get you close to telling if something will fit them right. With enough adjustment though, you can get it pretty close to perfect. I like the look of it and the storage bags are a good size. He seems to be plenty comfortable in it as well. Should work great for our next hiking trip.

I have an Active Jack Pitty and a Golden Retriever. I got this pack to assist with walking Kira, my JP. She just wants to see everything and literally bounces through her walks. We wanted her to "work" during her walks which make life easier for Jaxx, our GR. Who is a calm walker. We wanted to put a few things in her pack to slightly weigh on her to calm her and make her feel like she has purpose. I really love the military look of the pack. The straps are easily adjustable. I may sew in some Velcro to help secure the hanging straps that hang a bit even after putting the straps though the secured loops. That should deter someone from picking this pack up. BTW: I did try it on Jaxx, and it fit him perfectly as well after adjusting it.

This is a very nice and durable dog backpack. It has a couple of pockets that allow you to carry things like dog food, and any other accessories that your dog might need. The material feels very durable, and it should last for a long time. It also has a handle on top, so you can pick your dog up during a hike and help them over large boulders or other obstacles. There are also two metal rungs on top that you can clip a leash to. The buckle that goes underneath the dog's belly is large and solid plastic, which should last a long time. As you can see from the picture, my dog loves wearing it! Highly recommended

It is a cute little canvas pack. It is not waterproof. The leash D-ring split in the first 5 minutes of use. Fortunately the dog ran into the Amazon truck to greet his favorite driver. It will hold 4 library books or some books and 6 beers using the two pockets on each side. You can pick up a 65 pound dog using the handle. The adjustments and excess strap handling are little awkward. After you weld those leash D-rings or replace them with carabineers this could be useful for walks around the dog park or short hikes. This husky likes to do back country treking. We were looking for a replacement for a 20 year old dog pack he uses. I don't think you can adjust this one for an 8 pound load. And not being waterproof it goes from 431 grams to 937 grams after the first stream crossing or thunderstorm.

Super cute. Super amazing. easy to put on. my dog didnt mind at all. havent put any weight in it yet. but he went and got in bed with it on no problem. it looks very large, it should easily hold 4 regular water bottles on each side (not saying to do this haha). super excited to take this out. now he can hold all the things he needs for the walk and my pockets can stop being heavy. I can even tie a bag to it and pick up small trash as I walk which is something Ive always wanted to do with my dog :D fits him great, had to tighten it on him and he is a 100+ lb Presa/Cane Corso Mix.

I had a different pack and I swore I'd never get another, but my boy loves to work on our hikes, so I scoured looking for one that I insisted it had to be easy to adjust. The neck is easily adjusted and the belly strap is like putting on a belt. Everything is a soft and there's no rough spots to rub on the doggo to create spots. It's very well made and the seams are even and secure. The zips glide easily and stay closed. Really pleased to add this to our standard hiking gear. It will hold the lad's water and snacks while we're out for the day. I love the added top grip if needed to get a quick close hold on him. This is fantastic and I've already shared it with my foster friends. A few said their fosters would love to work and hike too. I think I've helped create a few raving fans of GeerDuo! I know I'm one!

was well made, stitching holds up well, holds all of the important items we need on hikes and looks clean. just be sure to size it properly to your dog or it will slide around and be uncomfortable for them
