This rug backing isn't the thin type that tears easily. The quality is very good, and it effectively keeps the carpet in place thanks to its grip. I bought this backing for some bath rugs that were still usable, but whose backing was wearing out. I applied some of the backing by hand and some with a machine.

Bought based on reviews and was not disappointed. This backing is not the thin backing that tears super easy. The quality is very good and the grip on it actually works and keeps the carpet in place. Definitely recommend buying!

I used this under a 5x7 rug. It was easy to trim off the excess with regular scissors since this was bigger than I needed. I used the extra pieces under a few door mats so I had no actual waste. The nonslip feature is good, my rugs no longer slide on the hardwood floor. I was hoping this would be a little thicker but it works well especially if you don't want any bulk.
