How to use:
1. Keep the carpet back and floor clean.

OTHER TIPS:

These are much more sticky than I expected, but carpets are porous. We had to replace a couple as they got pulled up and wouldn’t readhere decently - was our fault as the furniture leg moved. These work great for keeping the rugs from sliding from our dogs.

I bought these to hold down a long 19' hallway runner. I have two cats,12lb and15lbs plus a 43lb dog who run and chase each other throughout the house. These hold the carpet in place perfectly and it doesn't move at all. I have wood laminate flooring so it sticks to that very well. The only downside is that they don't actually stick to the underside of the carpet very well. I had to lift one end of the carpet up to clean up dog pee and the velcro stayed together and detached at the carpet. You can force the velcro apart like it's designed to do, but it still wants to come unstuck from the carpet side.I really like these though and am willing to put up with them not staying stuck to the carpet when lifting it. If anything I will just buy more if the sticky part wears out.

Not a fan of these. They do help secure the throw rugs, but they can be difficult to remove the paper backing in order to apply.

They were easy to use and did the job. After staining my screened porch, the rug was sliding all over the place. When I slipped on it, I rolled up the rug and put it aside, but I hated the porch without it. Then I found the rug anchors. They are big square, velcro pads that go on easily and work great. Now my rug is back down and I am happy with the results.

The ad says for large rugs, the packaging for the product says small rugs. The ad implies it works on carpet as well as hard surfaces, the product packaging only shows images of hard surfaces. The adhesive willl not stick to carpet, but it damages the back of the rug when removing it. The velcro is fantastic, but it pulls the adhesive off when use you try to use it. This was a waste of money and completely useless product, which was not what was advertised.

Just put them under my area rug, cleaned the 10 spots where they would go with rubbing alcohol to be sure adhesion would be optimal. Time will tell if they are good!

I bought this for my carpets, to ensure that they don't move - yes it works, but not for all carpets I've been told. I tested it on my living room carpet , my daughter's carpet and the carpet in my basement. On my living room carpet, it tore off the color of my floor (I have hardwood floors) but holds up very well. As for the carpet in my basement, I noticed that the carpet rises on the corners where they are installed. I contacted the seller and he told me my mat was too thin to use. So don't use it for thin carpets. With my daughter's carpet it works perfectly. It's easy to install, but very hard to remove. The glue is very strong. Also, if you need to machine wash your rug, I recommend not, because it destroys your rug. Especially if your carpet has a medium or long fur. It forms a big knot with the carpet and the sticker. So you must either remove the sticker, or wash your carpet by hand.
