How To Apply

Cut - We recommend using a cutter or knife to cut a piece of the tape. Using scissors on the sticky tape may cause difficulty in cutting.
Apply - Unroll and apply the adhesive side of the tape to the underneath of the rug, pad ,or tile you are planning to lay and secure, leaving on the paper backing.
Peel - After you have finished applying all the pieces, remove the paper backing from the pieces and press firmly along the edges and the middle.

This is solely a review for area rug to carpet adhesion. I swear I never write reviews and this has taken away an oddly major frustration in my life so effectively I felt compelled to leave this review.We have high pile carpet in all our bedrooms, and when I was decorating our nursery I decided (based on all my Pinterest surfing) that it would be cute to have an area rug over the carpet in the room. This resulted in 4 months of us constantly adjusting the carpet after it wriggled it’s way up and down the room, bunching up in weird formations causing me to trip in the middle of the night with baby (terrible!!). I would literally straighten up the rug and reposition it perfectly, only to come back 2 hours later to the rug laying off center, diagonal, and all bunched up. You’re probably wondering why I didn’t just get rid of the rug - I’m not totally sure, but it just added a certain pizazz to the room, and for some reason I wasn’t willing to give that up, to the chagrin of my husband.In an effort to address this issue of the roving rug, I purchased multiple rug pads and rug tape, to no avail. It felt like it was no better than without anything to hold the rug down. I realized how wrong I was about that when I threw out the last rug pad in a fit of frustration. It was definitely worse without anything to hold it down, but nothing ACTUALLY held the rug in place with no bunching.Enter this carpet tape. Buying this was my Hail Mary, but I was not at all optimistic because all the items I had purchased were advertised as working for rugs on carpets, and obviously none of them actually did. And here I am 2 weeks later and my rug has NOT MOVED. OR BUNCHED. AT ALL. I didn’t realize how much the messed up rug was bothering me until this tape fixed it. Now every time I enter the room I just feel so satisfied.A couple insignificant annoyances about the tape (I repeat, these are INSIGNIFICANT because the product WORKS LIKE A CHARM): the backing of the tape takes a little finesse to peel off; I didn’t follow the instructions and cut the tape with scissors like an idiot, and now my scissors will probably have sticky residue on them forever; the sides of the roll are SUPER sticky and so the plastic wrap that the tape roll was wrapped in was really tough to get off. Like I said - all these details are insignificant, because this tape actually works!!! Definitely buy it. You won’t regret it.tl;dr if you’re looking for something to secure your ever moving area rug to carpet, look no further. This tape works. Buy it.

TapePlus 2 inch wide Double Sided carpet and rug tape- I had carpet runners in the kitchen which are basically very long and very narrow lightweight rugs that make a warm padded surface underfoot for cooking at the stove and washing dishes. Typical kitchen floors can be hard and cold, so the rugs feel great. The problem is thin rugs tend to be real trip hazards.I would find myself tripping on rugs daily. Not just the ends either. Somehow, anywhere along the rug would rise up enough to catch a toe and cause us to stumble. Not good. Especially not good when holding a kitchen knife, a hot dish, or a baking pan.I wanted a minimalist approach to taming the kitchen runners. I had used a large rug pad on an area rug, but I wanted a bulk free manner of keeping the runners down. Using scissors, I cut strips of the carpet tape and applied it in segments to the back of the rug. I used very little, thinking I could always apply more tape to any gaps that needed to be filled.As it worked out, the little segments of tape are holding the runners down perfectly! And it is removable with no residue! I simply love this double sided tape! I will also be trying it out in place of "command strips" to stick some solar lights up. They may or may not hold, but I want to experiment to get the most usage out of this product. This will also work great to temporarily hang kids artwork up on the fridge or on walls. This is an outstanding product!

The tape sticks very well, but the outer wrapper on the roll was very difficult to remove before using the tape. The wrapper stuck to the adhesive edges!

I used this tape to hold a large area rug over existing glued down carpet and so far, I am pleased with the end results. I used a scalpel to cut the tape because scissors did not do the job.

Works well but pulled out several carpet fibers through the back of the rug when repositioning. The edge of my area rug now has spots of missing carpet. A solution could be to warm it with a blow dryer beforehand. Too late for me but hopefully helps others.

This is a huge roll, so it's going to last forever. I used it to keep a rug in place on top of carpeting. It is super sticky, so have someone help you especially with larger rugs because once you set it down it's gonna stay there. Our rugs use to move and bunch up all the time even thought we bought a thing to go under it, but I guess those only work on hard wood or tile flooring. With the tape the rugs have not moved once and that makes me beyond happy because I was constantly having to fix the rug. It would also work great on rugs of any shape, since you can cut it any length you want.I have yet to try it on my wooden flooring. Even though it says it doesn't leave a residue behind, I'm still kind of scared. Might do a spot test in an inconspicuous place and see what happens.Overall great rug to carpet product and I would totally recommend it.

Oh my God - it works! I had tried so many different things to keep a 5’ x 7’ area rug placed on carpet from moving that I was about to give up and just throw the rug away - this tape was a last and final effort and it worked great! Was easy to apply - just had to be careful when turning the rug back over. It’s only been in place for a few days and it hasn’t moved or bunched at all! I’ve vacuumed over it - stayed perfectly in place. Dogs are running over it all day - it is in high traffic area - and no movement whatsoever. I’m SO happy I decided to try this. Going to use it again today on some smaller rugs that didn’t move as much as my large one to keep them perfectly in place too!

È un prodotto valido perché alla fine della fiera il suo scopo è quello di "incollare" e lo fa benissimo difatti io l'ho usato per attaccarci una lastra in PVC per intenderci, quella a rotoli da mettere sul pavimento, ho distribuito il nastro su tutto il perimetro e devo dire che "tiene" alla grande. L'unica nota stonata del prodotto è che se non sei preparato ti ritrovi il nastro attaccato dappertutto tranne dove deve andare, difatti ho perso qualche metro di nastro prima di capire come "affrontarlo" poi non parliamo delle forbici, del taglierino, completamente inutilizzabili dopo alcuni tagli, ho risolto con solventi vari man mano che procedevo sul lavoro. Un quattro stelle ci vanno tutte sperando che l'adesivo tenga, ma penso di sì.
