Hard to find tape that will stick to carpet on carpet. This does. Can be a little difficult to use because it is so sticky. Make sure you use a sharp knife or a pair of scissors to cut because of the tape sticks to the blade, it could be difficult to deal with. Again, when using and after removing the paper from the adhesive sides, don’t let it touch anything that you don’t want it to touch because it’s not gonna come off easily. Use it on two small throw rugs that I placed in front of a two recliner couch. Sticks to the carpet it does what it says it will do. Strongly recommend this because they’re are very few double sided tapes that will work on carpet carpet adhesion like this one does.

I have tried numerous kinds of carpet tape that it said it would stick runners to the carpet. This carpet tape is worth the $$$ because it does work with a carpet runner and it DOES stick to the carpet without the runner moving all the time. Best of all , it doesn’t ruin your carpet!!!!! Worth buying

It has been down 24hours seems to do a good job. But is hard to get the backing off one side of tape. I don’t know how anyone would make it easy though

Sticks well, feels strong and durable, and cuts with a scissor. Pretty much all I ask for when it comes to tape.

Bought a 9x12 Ruggable rug. It's laying on carpet so it needed something to stop it creasing/moving. This tape was easy to apply and was skin-sticky but it did not stop the ruggable rug from moving and detaching in some cases from the tape. It might work better on hardwood floors or tile to hold rugs down, but did not work on mine. I returned the rug since I did not want to spend half-the cost of the rug on a more expensive stay-put solution.I think applying the tape "to the edges" of the rug is the wrong approach. I would recommend laying strips of this tape approx every 24 inches of the length of the rug (if on carpet) to try to get it to "stick" in more places. Also attaching the tape at the very edge of the rug only meant the rug moved and the sticky tape was now exposed. It sticks in such a way that if you mess it up, you have to cut if off and create a new strip. It's not like sellotape where it can be re-stuck down. I used a box-cutter to cut it... don't waste time trying with a pair of scissors - you need a super-sharp and thin blade to cut this effectively.

I use a tempered glass chair mat on the carpeted floor of my office. The mat would quickly slide out of place as I rolled around in my office chair. I put some of this XFasten Double Sided Carpet Tape on the bottom of the glass mat. Problem solved.
