We got these to serve as Renaissance Festival wear, and they are great. The fabric has a lineny feel, and it is light and comfortable enough to wear even on the hotter weekends at the festival. The sizing seems to be spot on.And it's a small touch, but maybe my favorite feature is the little extra design along the waistband in the front. Most of these type of pants merely have a drawstring and that's it, so that little bit of extra effort is appreciated.Well worth the price, and even good enough to wear everyday around the house if you so choose!

I got these pants for my husband for costume events where he often dresses up as a pirate. These are actually quite nice pants, and are better than your average costume store cheapo clothing made of nylon and polyester. These pants are a nice cotton/linen feel, and the fabric is of good enough quality to wear as real pants if one wanted to. I got an XL for him, since he's always been sort of on the cusp with a 35-36" waist, and I figured bigger is safer than too small, especially since many things for sale on this site tend to run smaller than stated. That was not the case with these pants, however. The size was quite accurate, and he seems to have lost a little weight recently, so I probably should have gone down to a size L. The drawstring helps a tiny bit, but not much as far as cinching in the waist. But this situation is easily remedied with a wrap-around pirate belt/waistcoat thing, either of fabric or leather. Great pants for a fairly decent price.

I have a few pairs of linen and "pirate" style pants for wearing to various faires, but for the most part, I wear them for working out and staying cool... and these pants do so with the feel of linen, while still allowing for absobtion and mobility that cotton offers - and looking hilarious while skating down the street!The pants fit perfect to size, without digging in or falling down (though for the latter the drawstring works as well as a belt). The legs aren't tapered, but also have functional drawstrings; my calves are a bit larger though, and they bite in in pulled up when laced completely for me. The fabric is super breathable, so not the best in colder months, but is perfect for sunny, breezy days. Outside of cosplaying, these would be perfect with some sandals to walk the beach and search for your buried treasure.The material is a bit scratchier than high quality cotton, but no more than linen, and for the price is a good quality, as is the stitching and overall construction. This Runcati pair of pirate pants is sure to please for the price, even if just worn around the house!

Material description said 100% cotton. it is a big part of the reason i bought it. It is not cotton. Looks and feels like polyester. No labels so I don't know what it is.
