At some point I snapped the clip off the visor. When I talk to the dealer about fixing it it was going to be 200+. That leads me to believe that maybe they replace more than just a clip but I don't need more than just a clip. I decided to try to find a third-party clip and I have to say that I purchased two different ones off of Amazon that really didn't have a good color match and when I tried to push the visor into them the clips broke.After some careful research I decided to buy this clip and I have to tell you it fits perfect. It's a great color match. It's sturdy. It's easy to install. And most of all… It holds the visor in place. I would definitely recommend this if you've broken your visor clip. This is the only one I found that works.FYI - The clip in the picture is gray. I found it really hard to determine what color the car was inside because it's sort of a gray beige.

When i purchased my 2012 Audi S5, the passenger side clip was broken. I think this work for either side, but worked perfect for the passenger replacement. I did keep the original plate so that the color (black) matched better. Took 2 mins to replace.

Audi tried to charge me $52.00 for this item (not including installation!). Hahaha! No way. I was glad that I found this because you really cannot tell the difference. It took about 2 weeks to get to me because it was shipped from China using regular postage.Here's what I did: I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to remove and install this clip. It was very challenging to remove the broken one, but once I got it out, it was super easy to install the new one. Then, I reused the original housing so that there would be no color difference, even though though the color match is spot on. I only really needed the clip, because that is what was broken.I recommend this because there really is no reason to purchase an OEM part for this type of thing.

Easy installation, functions well, but the beige color is way off. No biggie, I’m still satisfied and happy to have functioning clips. If I would’ve do it over, I would’ve gone with Black

This is a great part but the color was a bit off. I used the cover of my original clip. In the photos the cover is the color of this part, the broken clip is the factory color which is lighter. I couldn't find anything that had the actual interior color code with the part number. This still looks good. As other reviewers have stated, the new clip is tight. I expect it will relax over time. Would buy again

Fit well, but broke after just a couple months. I was optimistic, but the plastic seems cheaper. Failure mode was the same, plastic “L†that clips around the sun visor snapped off.Ended up splurging on a machined aluminum set from ECS Tuning (can’t get on Amazon). I figured they’ll pay for themselves if these plastic replacements break this easily.

The clip is a direct replacement for the often fragile OEM (original equipment manufacturer) part that frequently breaks. The clip feels sturdy and is well made, holding the visor securely in place without any wobble or looseness. For something as important as a sun visor it is extremely convenient to easily replace without any overly expensive trips to the dealership. Its a small but crucial part that restores the full functionality of the sun visor, making it a highly recommended replacement for anyone facing the same issue.Steps to Replace:1. Removing the old component and replacing it with the new one is quite simple.2. First grab a preferably plastic pry tool that you can wedge between the fabric of the ceiling and the component that remains affixed to the ceiling. I found that this was often easiest to get it off without too much prying if you have more than one pry tool and apply downward pressure from the side as well as the front.3. One the outer shell has popper off you can remove the remaining component in the ceiling which will be some plastic that is remaining from where the hook used to be and a piece of metal. Gently pull down on this and it should come right out.4. Simply take the component with the hook and metal component and replace back into the ceiling with some gentle pressure to make sure that it will stay in place. From here you will go ahead and align the extruding portions of the cover with the correct sized holes on the first component and make sure that you hear this click into place.5. If you don't have a plastic pry tool you can always try to use a plastic windshield ice scrape, but make sure to be careful to not create any imperfections or marks on the interior roofing fabric.

Quedo perfecta la pieza. Pero usé la base original porque cambia un poco el color. Sólo ocupé el gancho que fue lo que se rompió. Lo volverÃa a comprar.

The old one broke off on my Audi A4. Bought this one - adjusted the spring a little so it wasn't too tight and reinstalled. I used the old housing to ensure better color match. The color was a match anyhow. Made the repair in 15 minutes. It's not a critical peice but is a pain when you can't store the sunvisor properly. If I recall correctly, it did take a whlie to arrive, but it worked well and, as I said, it wasn't a critical part so I could wait. Nice to know Amazon carries these and you can get them delivered to your door.
