I don't know anything about wood stoves, but a Lopi stove came with my "new" house in the north woods. I used the stove for a year - and the original gasket frayed - and fell off. I checked with Lopi - and they told me what size and length gasket I needed. While I was not confident that I could do the job... I followed the instructions, took the door off and applied the gasket cement. It was surprisingly uncomplicated. I've been using the stove to heat the house for the past month with temps well below zero. No complaints at all.

Worked great on my lopi. I removed the door, set it on my workbench and scraped out the old glue and gasket. I then cleaned it well. I dry fit the gasket into the channel and cut to length. Dampen the gasket slighly. Next I applied a liberal amount of adhesive into the gasket channel, smeared it around and place the gasket back in starting at the bottom corner. Slowly work the gasket into place and be sure not to stretch of stuff it in, extra care is needed on the corners. Once the gasket was in place I put a small piece of plywood over the door and flipped it over with great care taken not to disturb the gasket. Once it was gasket side down I clamped it around its perimeter using even pressure. Use caution not to break the glass. I let it dry for the recommended time, reinstalled and build a HOT fire. Perfect!

Bought for my Pelpro PP130, after some research I found it was supposed to take 3/4" so I bought a different brand rope that was more like 3/4X1/2 so it was too small, This 7/8 inch is as it should be in diameter. First few time it was VERY tight but now it is a good snug fit like it should be. I just wish they would supply a few inches of fiberglass cloth to wrap the ends together

Perfect fit for my old Avalon wood stove. I only had to trim off a few inches. I didn't realize how much my old gasket leaked until after installing this new one. The glass on my stove door stays so much cleaner now. I installed this in the fall and have been using the stove every day all winter and it has held up nicely so far.

The original gasket for my Lopi Endeavor wood stove worked well for 8 years and very marginally for the 9th year before I replaced it this year with the Rutland grapho-glas gasket, only to find after two months that it is not sealing as well as the original equipment. The original gasket had an inner core making it thicker despite being the same 7/8" diameter, thus sealing much better for many years. It appears as if I will have to replace the Rutland product after less than one-year of usage, and buy the original gasket from Lopi. I would never buy this product again!

Way better material than the old white colored gasket I removed. Works great in my lopi wood burning insert. Easy to install and did not come apart when cut to size

This review is for the Rutland woodstove gasket.There should be a severe warning that this is a fiberglass product and causes your entire body to become engulfed with tiny fiber glass splinters when removed from the package!!!!! I was in so much paid for three days after installing this gasket! WEAR LONG SLEEVES, GLOVES AND A HAT and removed from package SLOWLY. Hopefully you read this warning and can learn from my mistakes so you don't suffer too.Once installed it did the job however I'm displeased with the lack of warning.
