This is a backup unit for our RV travel trailer, which presently has a plastic one, not metal like this new one. So now we have plan for when our existing unit goes dead. The typical failure mode for this check valve is that the valve gets stuck in the open position which causes water to spurt back out the water inlet port. However the replacement and installation is fairly easy, just 3 screws and one hose connection. Recommended.

This water inlet is equal quality to those costing twice as much. It was easy to install and functions as it should. It only allows water to flow one direction and it comes with an extra cover. The mounting flange is plastic but fairly thick so it is secure and should last.

Its a little smaller than the one it replaced but it works fine. No leaks, no problems.
