Nicely machined & finished. So much easier than pulling entire manifold. Worked great on my 2003 Express 3500, drivers/rear. Easy access on a van. Only had to grind a bit if bolt protruding thru hole in manifold to make sure it was at least 30 mills below face of manifold. Clamp bolt overlaps manifold hole by about 1/2, so I put a piece of flat metal stock between clamp bolt & manifold to spread the edge loading. Non-existent instructions could have been better. Particularly how tight to tighten the camp bolt. I tightened mine til the gap between head & manifold stopped decreasing, & the bracket started flexing. (about 1 full turn of the clamp bolt.) Time will tell.

It's a pain to install due to firewall, but it is so much better than removing the head! Use patience and you can get it installed. I noticed my engine was quieter right away....so it does its job. This is some thick rugged steel that will hold up.

Well made but the screws seem to be of not so great quality. You need to be careful when you tighten them. But got the job done. Over all I would reordered again if needed for another job.

Extreme robust design with very thick metal and all one piece design won't break into pieces when you wrench it down into the manifold like the cheaper versions. Other brands are apparently mass produced with very poor robotic welds with no penetration on the nut they put to thread the bolt for pushing the manifold down. This one is just threaded into the thick body so nothing to snap off. Don't waste your money and time removing the cheap one after it breaks, spend a few dollars more and do it once with this one.

Installed on a 2003 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 driver side rear. I read many reviews befor purchasing. A lot of people said it was a pain or had to remove the tire and inner fender and all of these different tools...I don't understand. I had mine on in less than 20 minutes. Only thing i removed was the firewall heat sheild. Remove the 3 nuts and slid to the side. Did eveything from underneath the truck. Held bracket with one hand, started the bottom bolt with the other hand. Put top bolt thru and hand tightened both. Used a 5/8 open wrench and tighted them up. Since both bolts were already finger tightened, i didnt have to wrench much at all. Slid heat sheild back into place and installed the 3 nuts. From under the hood, installed the third bolt that tightens up against the manifold..and DONE. 20 minutes..if that! Maybe 15.So i dont understand all of this having to dismantle the whole car to install this bracket. Maybe its different on other vehicles..but it SHOULD be the same on all Tahoes, Silvarado, Sierras..etcAnyways, it fixed my problem!

Good luck getting them on without taking the head... because of the firewall and insulation the bolts are too long to make them fit... if it was around 2-3mm will be perfect get the slim brackets if ur not taking the heads or the engine out
