Have only had this Quiet cymbal set for a few months but they were just what I needed. I’d managed to muffle the drums in my kit sufficiently but needed cymbals that looked and sounded authentic with far less noise. They are true to their sizes, just thinner and because they are completely perforated the “splash” is far less dramatic. My wife loves them!

All of the cymbals are great for practice except for thr hi hat rhat sounds very thin and weak.. For practice, it is great and definitely lowered the overall volume. Now my toms are much louder in comparison. I had to add a pad for the snare since that just pops so hard in comparison when I practice.

They sound amazing! I would say they are around 60% less sound than a real symbol. They actually sound like they should though, not just muffled

These are so much louder and brighter than the Zildjian L80's. THe only reason I'm giving them a 2 star rating is that they sound great in light jazz gig situations. Or to switch to during a big band piano or bass solo. But, they bother my drum students. They like the sound to a degree, but comment that they're "too shrill", "too bright", "too loud" or many say they just don't like the sound. (I think this is because I teach in a 20 x 40 room, so the walls are close, but not THAT close. But, they all agree that they hate the volume, unless of course they're trying to kill their parents or my ears with a surprise crash. They're used to being able to bash the L80's when necessary and not get their unprotected ears hurt. These will damage hearing. L80's are incredible. My students love the L80's. When they hit the Sabian Quiet Tones hard I've seen them drop their sticks and grab their ears. However... I've got a big problem with the L-80's, too... SO, why did I switch. The L80's started breaking at the 2 year mark. I had 2 sets on my teacher / and on my student sets. Now I only have one pair of hi hats, and one ride, left. Hundreds of dollars flushing down the toilet. It's as if the L-80's were on a timer.10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1... CRACK!!!

I like this Sabian Quiet Tone Cymbals Pack 14", 16", 18", 20". I used it on my existing electronic drum, i removed the kits 35mm piezo with 1/4"(6.35mm) connector mounts pcb, and installed it on the drums without hassle. Whats best with this cymbal is durability with hard hits without dents or break compared to Zildjian L80. Buy this if you want to practice low volume and enjoying like acoustic kits.
