I have a 1999 F-250 and the hood came down unexpectedly one day. I was just very lucky to not have my head under it. Ordered these and received them promptly. They installed very easily and work great.

Just mounted two of these Sachs Lift Supports/Gas Struts on my 2001 Ford F250. In the cold weather, my old ones just didn't hold the hood up anymore. The new ones are noticeably stronger and seem to work well. The instructions that came with them are poor.One of the strut plastic packages looked like somebody had taken a box cutter to it ... but the strut itself was unmarked and did not looked used or like a previous return. The oversized shipping boxes were just ridiculous ... and there was one box for each of the two struts (they were on the same order). Someone wasn't using common sense!Also, the struts were delayed by over two days from the promised delivery date. If I had a customer waiting for this part, I'd be livid. Overall happy with the product ... question the packaging approach and shipping delay with no reasonable explanation via the tracking number.
