If you have a kid who gets out of their seat belt, you need this. It’s easy to snap in place and even easier to remove. All you need is a key to stick into the hole.

I have a handicap adult family member who has Alzheimer's. This helped with getting them to the doctor without having to worry about them unbuckling their seat belt and opening the door. I would recommend this product to anyone who has someone with Alzheimer's or even a handicap child with autism. It is a great product and a good value for the money and it fits in our vehicle perfectly

Okay, this does solve my biggest problem which is my SN twins unbuckling themselves. That being said the "clamp" thing that is supposed to go around the actual seat belt - useless. I don't know if they are unaware of the thickness of a seat belt but there is no way that it will close around the cloth portion of a seat belt. No way. I tried it, my dad tried it and my brother, who is very strong, tried it. None of us could squeeze it tight enough to get it even close to closing.BUT I am giving the set 4 stars because the other part is WONDERFUL!! Easy to use and they are unable to unbuckle themselves. No big deal for me to use a key to unbuckle through the guard when I want to get them out. I will say that I keep a seat belt cutter in my center console just in case of emergencies. Now I just have to solve the problem of them sliding out from the bottom of the seat belt...ugh.

I am using this item to secure my dog's car seat/booster seat. The lap belt of my rear seat hooks into her car seat. I liked that I could actually lock the belt nice and tight so in case of an accident, her seat would be as immobile as possible. This way, in an accident, I know the lap belt is locked, and I don't have to depend on seat belt locking itself.l Also, the lock mechanism for the belt release button is also handy in case I am in the back seat, wrangling groceries and packages, and accidentally hit the belt release buttons. This is a great invention, and I wish I would have found it when caring for my grandfather who had dementia. I can't tell you how many times I would slow down the car to park, and he would be releasing his seat belt and trying to get out of a still moving car. I did have a little trouble getting the belt locking clip on my seatbelt. (I have a 2018 or 2019 Buick Encore). I took a little trial and error, but after about 5 minutes, I locked it where I wanted it.

I bought this because I have a 7 year old who independently buckles herself into the car and she sits right next to a car seat that is secured using the cars belt buckle system. I was concerned that my daughter might unknowingly unbuckle the seatbelt that secures the car seat when trying to unbuckle herself. I realize the ultimate solution is to check to make sure the car seat is secured by the car seatbelt buckle every time I put my child into the 5-point harness car seat. Unfortunately, if I'm capable of accidentally driving down the road before realizing I forgot to buckle my baby (true story at least once), I don't trust myself to remember to check the car seat every time. So, I wondered if there was a way to protect me from this situation. Of course, yes, a product exists! I installed the car seat with this in place. It works exactly as expected and we've had no unbuckling incidents. The only downside is you need a key or something small/flat to insert into the lock when you want to release the car seatbelt (I don't believe it came with such a tool). In the event of an emergency, I think I would be nervous to have one of these installed on a child who uses the car seatbelt directly. But I understand sometimes it's necessary for those who have a child that will not keep the seatbelt fastened otherwise. Overall, I would recommend this product! I am happy for this invention and the added protection it provides my family.

For 20+ years, from the time our profoundly cognitively impaired son outgrew his car-seat, we've been dealing with awkward and expensive harness systems. For all his impairments, undoing a seat belt seemed to come naturally to him. He's 29 now, and the Mama is not a spring chicken anymore: it was getting really challenging to deal with the harness on a 6'1" young man. I saw this gizmo, and for $12, I thought I'd give it a try. And it works!! A little awkward putting it on the seat belt receptacle the first time with him "helping" me with the seatbelt, but once I got him to leave it alone, it was easy as pie.We love this thing! Just bought another one for when we inevitably lose it somewhere. I want to have one always at the ready.

I have a special needs son (autism), and the reviews I've seen so far have been for little kids. We'll, my son is 18 and strong. He has a tendency to unlock seatbelt and try to get up front while I'm driving. This keeps him seated. He can't get out. However, he knows how to unbuckle if I give him a key. This keeps him safe at all times while riding. I love it.

My son is special needs and learned quick to unbuckle. So when I bought this it was a bit confusing to put on. After a few uses it became a blessing. Only use one part cause I don't know how to put on the other piece.

Absolutely useless on a child's car seat. And by a childs car seat, I'm referring to one that does up at the front. My 4 year old is escaping from his car seat and unbuckling all sorts of things, which isn't ideal on the motorway where we no longer have a hard shoulder. This won't go on to an actual car seat buckle for small children.Complete and utter waste of money and cannot send back as you need a machete to get into the packaging to begin with.

My dog was unhooking the seatbelt by stepping on the red button and the seatbelt I got for him attaches to the real seatbelt which would lock down real low after a while even if I started it out. This solves both issues. I can not keep the seatbelt all the way to the most stretched out position which still keeps him from going anywhere if I have to stop suddenly AND he can no longer step on the red button to unhook his seatbelt.

This item did not come looking like the picture. It can in a ziploc bag and missing parts. It’s practically useless and is garbage.
