I really like these shakers. I held off on getting some for years b/c I thought, why would I need those, I just pour/shake what I need out of a large container I bought at the store. Well, these changed my mind. I really like how these look, they don't take up tons of space on the back of my stove and I find myself using pepper a LOT more now since it's RIGHT there and I don't have to go hunting in the cabinet for it any more. Also, the adjustment feature is really handy. Take it from an old pantry-centric cook....Sometimes you need a bunch, sometimes you need a pinch. These shakers make it extra easy to pour or sprinkle a little or a lot.The only downside is that they are a little tough to clean...(the top parts have a complex construction) but after a bit of a soak, followed by a good amount of drying time-- they shine up nicely.Overall, good quality materials should last for years and look to be pretty easily recyclable at the end of life. Good buy.

Here are all the things I LOVE about these:*They have a good sturdy feel and are high quality.*They are very comfortable to hold in your hand and use.*They are big enough to hold a decent amount of salt/pepper, but are small enough to fit well on my cabinet shelf.*They are clear glass at the bottom so you can see what is inside (I got the white for salt and black for pepper, but it would helpful if you had one color)*The top twists smoothly for 4 different openings: closed, small holes, bigger holes, and open for pouring. (This was a big one for me, because I keep them by my stove and use them often for cooking and baking)*They are very sleek, modern and attractive to look at. They are often in my cabinet, but look great sitting on my counter.Here are the things I don't love about these:**crickets**Haha! I love everything about them. Have you ever bought a product that was exactly what you wanted and so it just thrills you, even if it's as simple as a salt and pepper shaker? That's me :)Buy these and you too can experience my joy.

Bought the Black and White and the all Red color ChefVantage Salt and Pepper Shakers Sets. They are truly a beautiful addition to our kitchen.When I took them out of their boxes (they were ALL wrapped carefully), I wanted to wash them first before using. I got a bit confused on removing the tops from the glass. Directions state: "Unscrew stainless steel top from glass."I went to YouTube and found a site for hints and tips on these salt and pepper shakers. And then I felt like a SUPER DUMMY! It's really easy . . . you unscrew the stainless steel tops, where the BOTTOM of the colored top meets the glass jar. Just like the directions stateDuh! Told you I felt like a Super Dummy. Plus, I found out that the tops can be popped off and on too.After washing and thoroughly and I mean thoroughly drying each piece, I filled one with table salt, and the other with Kosher Salt, throwing in some uncooked rice to keep them from clumping. And to remind me the Kosher salt is NOT plain table salt, I put the Kosher Salt in a white shaker, and the regular salt in a red one. Yes. Kosher Salt is larger in size then plain table salt, but when they are both placed in plain salt shakers, I can't always tell the difference immediately and especially when I reach for them at a quick glance.The other Amazon customers are correct, these wonderful shakers can be used for spices OTHER than salt and pepper. Love, how they are within close reach when I need them.And yes . . . they are quite attractive and the stainless steel tops can be wiped off easily. You won't go wrong ordering these.If I could I would give them Ten out of Ten Stars.

Very sleek and modern looking. Can't wait to add to my newly renovated dining room! The only thing I wish is that they said "salt and pepper" or "S&P" somewhere on them, but with the clear bottom it will be easy to tell which is which. I love that they came from a small business that even included a little card from the owners!

I like everthing about these salt and pepper shakers. They are the perfect size, lovely to look at, easy to fill and clean, with an assortment of hole sizes which are simple to change to adjust the the volume of the pour. A very nice product.

Really like these stable, solid, quality and attractive salt shakers. Perfect size - right in the middle between small & large. Not too small, easy to handle. I appreciate the adjustable pour function on this. It's easy to control the flow of the salt, and you can get the salt exactly where you want it this way. Fashionable style. I've had these shakers for several months now and absolutely love them. They are pretty, well made and will last a really long time. I seriously doubt I'll ever have to buy another set unless the glass manages to get broken. The glass is very thick and they are weighty, not cheap feeling. They are easy to keep clean and refilling is super easy. You won't regret buying these shakers. Very high quality and I can't think of a single thing I don't like about them. I don't put them in the dishwasher, I wash by hand and in between I simply close the holes on top and wipe them down with a damp cloth.

Love these. Why? I love the adjustable top and use it all the time. Super easy to refill (you unscrew it) and I like that you can see when it's getting low. I will say when I first bought these, I wasn't sure they were worth the money and thought maybe the salt came out too fast, but within a week I was used to it and all worries were forgotten. Decided that it was totally worth the $30 or whatever it was, even though I was expecting to find something for $10 or $15. I'll use these things forever and they're super convenient. And they look nice. They live at the top of Maslow's Hierarchy for salt & pepper shakers.
