It's lightweight and seems durable. It has a nice sturdy grip, making it easy to handle when dealing with larger fish. The stainless steel hook is sharp and again seems securely attached, allowing me to lift the fish with ease. If you're looking for a gaff to add to your boat this is a great addition to your fishing gears.

I have a small boat; only 14.5ft aluminum vhull. So space saving items are a “must haveâ€. I decided to take a leap of faith that this would work out, and it’s been absolutely perfect.It’s a lot better quality than I was expecting. And it’s out of the way when I don’t need it, and ready to go in a split second when I do. I’d purchase again, and probably will since it’s a great space saver. And let’s be honest… Two is better than one.

The pros, it is very long and easy to use, the hook is sharp and high quality. The cons, it is not meant for big fish or heavy weight and the connectors between segments cannot handle a great deal of pressure. In the end, this gaff was not for me and what I'm focused on catching, but would work well for smaller fish where you need extra reach to tag them. Customer service was excellent, seller was very responsive to requests and communication.

What came wasnt whT i expected, that being said, it rurned out to be a great gaff for the money. Its very sturdy, i like that it collapses small enough to fit in a tackle bag. In all im pleased with it.

Although I was stoked for this gaff when it arrived right before we sailed a boat from California to Loreto Mexico, as it was compact and light. Well, she never made it past Cabo. By the time we had 3 dorado and 8 yellow fin tuna, the gaff crumpled and was useless.Small fish that you don’t need a gaff for would have been ok, but not anything like what we were catching.

Shipping was fast and arrived un damaged. It’s smaller than expected. Handle is not long enough really for use on a boat. It’s also very thin which makes it hard to hang onto. I don’t recommend.

I use this gaff when salmon fishing in my kayak here in Michigan. Great way to land the big ones right at the side of the boat. Quality product.
