Easy to assemble and disassemble to place in suit case for traveling. Very sturdy to use as a cane for stability while wading in the water to look for shells if you lose your balance. I’m glad it has a handle strap too

I would like to start out by saying that I am happy to have this product. I had back surgery and I cannot bend over to clean cat boxes just yet. I like everything about this product except it does make sense that it was created to sift through beach sand. It is not strong enough, nor the proper shape, to scrap along the bottom of the cat box, which is necessary to get sand soaked in urine. It nicely picks up clumps and so it is great for daily use. I have someone do the rest.

I really enjoyed using this at the beach and it saved my back from aching. I like that it telescopes And it is quite sturdy. Depending upon the hardness of the sand and the shell I wanted to pick up I sometimes needed to Use my opposite foot to help nudge the shell into the scoop, but I really enjoyed using it. I would recommend this for anyone who has back issues and cannot bend down a lot.

This product is what you need for shelling! The length & handle with the strap is perfect. It was great to be able to walk along the shore & scoop up the shells I liked without bending down. It has definitely saved me a lot of aches & pains the next day.The detachable scooper was amazing as well for when I wanted to use this product in the water. It was big enough to scoop up a decent chunk of shells.The only negative is the metal on the scooper seems like it would break down & get flimsy or break off after using awhile.

I have a multi-cat household where we use generic lighter-weight clumping litter. I have bad pain in my elbows and wrists, and a family member has a bad back. So, I have been trying to find something that would be both lightweight, sturdy, and long enough where it could be used for scooping while sitting down.The Sand Ripper met all those requirements with flying colors! I don't understand the negative reviews, since it worked very well for us both.It's easy to put together, sturdy, but yet not tiring to hold. Yes, the scoop is round, but held ~4 large clumps of used litter with each scoop. (This is not used kitten litter I'm talking about, we have a few 20-pounders we're "owned" by.) It also scraped away those nasty wet clumps that tend to hide underneath the dry litter, "glued" to the bottom of the pan.No problems with it pulling apart and it all seems to be out together well. AAA+++!

Love this. The combination of the dipper for picking things up off of the beach and the fact that this pole turns into a short hiking stick makes it the perfect tool for me. The hiking pole might not work if you’re very tall. I am 5 foot three and it’s perfectly fine for me. Really useful for the trails where I have to hike down a steep track to get to the beach. I can use the pole as a hiking stick and when I get to the bottom I screw the dipper part on and I’m ready to go. The entire pole and dipper accessory feel very sturdy. Very happy with this product!

Bought for someone with back problems to help clean cats litter tray and it works a treat. It has adjustable height so great for all and is easily cleaned. Well packaged and arrived on time.
