Here are some steps to use sandbags for a tripod:

First determine the weight of your tripod. Then choose the appropriate size and weight of sandbags you’ll need to provide stability.
Place the sandbags on the legs of your tripod, by either wrapping the sandbag around the leg or placing it on top of the foot.

I have a group of lovely vintage metal chairs on my porch but they're so top-heavy, strong winds topple them over. Sooo, I bought these handy, pre-filled sandbags to lop over the bases and - - VOILA! No more banged up chairs!!! I love that they're already full of sand and ready to go. : )

I bought these sandbags to anchor an archway we were using for Halloween night. Even though they were only partially filled with sand, they were sufficiently heavy and kept the archway securely in place so that we experienced no mishaps with the children. The sandbags are made of thick fabric which is refillable. I especially appreciate the thick, sturdy straps to carry them from point A to point B. We didn't get the chance to use the provided clips; maybe next year. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend these sandbags for anchoring use. Other uses I leave up to other customers. Enjoy!
