Been an excellent grinder so far with great capacity. I'm able to grind enough for my 1.5L French Press or my 2 quart cold brew pitcher with one load. This is in contrast to having to load 3-4 times on my old grinder to get the desired amount. The grinder is quiet and not all that loud with smooth operation while in use. This is great product that is recommended.

I was looking for a coffee grinder that had a cup on the bottom, and this one looked like a good option. This grinder is rechargeable and has two timed settings. There are a ton of settings for size of the grind. I usually use a medium grind because I mostly make brewed coffee in a drip coffee maker. Sometimes the coarse for iced cofee. You dump the beans in the reservoir, and pick one of two timed options for grinding. Either 45 seconds or 1 min 15 seconds. The grinder holds a lot of beans, and it seems to hold a charge for days. It is very quiet and it doesn't ever seem to clog up, and it's easy to clean. I am excited to take it camping this year. Anything to make a better camp coffee - you rustic campers know what I mean.

Nice enough for what it is - which is a limited use convenience device for the traveler or single drinker (or two very light drinkers) in the house. The top grinding part MAY hold five or six spoonfuls of beans for the equivalent number of cups. If you put that much in, it will not process in the 45 or 75 second grind options you are offered, so you can count on re-starting it a couple times. And my frequent re-starts would often shut off at the ten or twenty second mark, coming nowhere close to the 45 or 75 seconds stated. Hence the multiple re-starts. The grinder setting on the bottom is befuddling. three or four sections with dashes all say 'coarse to fine' with an arrow and a single red dot on the selector. Leaving me with no idea where to set it-or if it matters. So the answer to the question in the headline is probably obvious-think I'll be sticking with the Vita-mix.

I bought this to use on the road with a portable espresso machine. It worked perfectly! It grinds exactly like I wanted without a mess.

The SANMAS Electric Burr Coffee Grinder with Stainless Steel Grinding Core Rechargeable Coffee Beans Mil Grinder with 80 Grind Settings from Fine to Coarse for Espresso is a small but efficient coffee grinder. I had read about a burr grinder being a superior way to grind coffee beans and that is certainly the case. Using the SANMAS Electric Burr Coffee Grinder I was able to reduce the beans I normally use by a third and still get a great cup of coffee (I use a pour through). The grinder produces a super even and consistent grind. I am picky about beans, so happy to save the money to use less. This grinder is small, but if you are making a cup for yourself it is fine. It is slow and does shut itself off after a few minutes so you have to restart it several times. However, unlike most grinders where you have to press down for it to grind, you can just push the button and do other things while the SANMAS Electric Burr Coffee Grinder is working. I have been using it at home.It 80 settings for different grinds going from coarse to fine, but no way to really set it as there are no numbers or other clues as to the level of grind. I just set it in the center and did a test grind, then adjusted. It took a couple of days to get it dialed in.The SANMAS Electric Burr Coffee Grinder really holds a charge and chargers fast when plugged in. The battery makes it good to take with you while camping or traveling. It seems heavy duty and well-built with quality materials. It is easy to clean and comes with its own brush. It has a reverse feature in case it jams, but so far it has not.If you want a coffee grinder to take with you on trips, maybe for your camper van, or you usually make one cup of coffee for one person, then this grinder may be for you. I have quickly become used to better grind for my coffee beans and use it every day.

I finally had a chance to try out my coffee grinder today. I had already charged it and washed the bottom container when it first arrived. At first, I found it a little difficult to figure out how to adjust the gear that grinds the coffee, but after a little testing, I saw how I was supposed to set it. Of course, it does help to read the instructions first, which I didn't. It suggests testing it out with a small amount of coffee at first. That is a good idea and that's what I did. It kept turning off after a short period of time, then I realized that the amount of grinding time can be set for longer. I couldn't figure out what the numbers on the front were and then I realized that they had printed the wrong symbols on it. They had printed the symbols for feet and inches instead of minutes and seconds. It works really well, but I don't think that you would want to try to grind a big bag of coffee with it.The container that catches the coffee isn't very big, so I just held the grinder over a 16 oz. mason jar, without the bottom container attached, and it worked out well.

I got this electric burr grinder for my mother-in-law, who just started making pour-over coffees. I wanted her to have a proper burr grinder, but I don't think this one is suitable for regular home use. I had to recharge it after at least 4-5 uses. Another issue is the amount of coffee it can grind. I typically use 30 grams of coffee beans. The grinder has an auto shut-off feature. While this may be convenient, it's a hassle to press the button at least three times for it to finish grinding 30 grams. Additionally, I can’t fine-tune the grind for pour-overs. According to the manual, it recommends 32 clicks for “hand brewed,†but that setting makes the beans too coarse for pour-overs. Ive since adjusted the setting. But the coffee tastes weak. Which to me is a grinding issue. Im a little disappointed with this. I will try to experiment with the settings some more. At this time, I’m not impressed with this product.
