This kit helped my 2014 Focus run and shift so smooth! Before it was shifting erratically, jerking, throwing codes, and sometimes would not start, after this installation it runs amazing and nearly perfect!!

Purchased for a 2012 Ford Focus SE with the infamous DPS6 dual clutch automatic-manual transmission. Unavoidably, the Dual clutch assembly, clutch forks, electronic fork actuators and even the TCM (Transmission control Module) eventually fail (some or all of it), and it bricks the car. The lazy mechanics over at the Ford dealership put a new LUK clutch in it about 20K miles ago (OEM clutch shuddering problem) but didn't bother to replace the forks or clean out all the lingering clutch dust from the worn-out OEM clutch. Because of that, the transmission failed again and this time one of the OEM clutch forks completely failed. The fork drive shaft sheared off internally from the roller/spring assembly and dumped tiny ball bearings all over the inside of it. I pulled the transmission out of the car, pulled it apart, bought this excellent kit that comes with everything you need to rebuild the clutch-side of the transmission (minus the special tool needed), re-assembled and installed back into the car. It has never shifted and operated as smooth as it does now. For good measure, I chose to replace the actuators and the TCM as well. Also, a good time to fix other common failure points on these cars such as the driver's side motor mount, the fragile little plastic coolant lines that run across the top of the transmission back over to the coolant reservoir, and to clean the carbon build-up out of the head intake ports since this is a GDI engine design. Most importantly, if you are going to replace the clutch on these cars, replace the forks too, no matter who is going to do the work. If you take it to a mechanic, make sure they do it. They are simple to do and after having it all apart on the bench, they are probably the most precarious points of future grief.

Working as it should. This kit was complete with everything to do a clutch repair on a 2012 Focus. No electrical components included. I was able to complete this job with no special tools. I would definitely purchase this item again if needed.

Would have given 5 stars but the when the box arrived it looked like it fell out of an airplane. The clutch and forks are well built OEM quality. The release bearing assembly had the plastic tabs broken off so it was not usable, probably broke during shipping as the box was smashed and distorted. I ended up just reusing the old bearing assembly since it was still in good shape and put it back together. My 2014 Ford Focus now has reverse again and shifts like a brand new car.

Seems like a good reliable car part so far. Highly recommend Big Ben's Cars and Cycles videos on youtube for install instructions. That guy has a gold mine of info on focus transmission repair.

I was getting clutch A/B stuck codes, car would hesitate from 1-2 with a shudder. Also reverse would act up. Eventually got tired and did some research and this kit is what ford uses so I opted to try it out & after installing it car ran better than ever... I even got motorcraft dual clutch transmission oil since the transmission was out already and now I have a fully rebuilt transmission running good as new with no issues. Just make sure to do a transmission/ clutch re learn with a good scanner and also order new actuators to complete the rebuild.
