After years of beating up my hands and arms doing automotive and home improvement work, I finally decided to protect my arms from cuts and scrapes. The knit fabric on these sleeves is nice and thick.They won't protect well from puncture hazards, such as nail points, but scratches, cuts and scrapes will be significantly reduced or eliminated from sharp edges. The Velcro arm band at the upper end provides the ability to wear these under or over a long sleeve shirt. The design of the hand portion allows for wearing of gloves since it only covers the upper portion of the hand and loops around the thumb. My first use was changing a faucet in a cramped space. The threads of the shutoff valves were sharp, but my arms were well-protected. I decided to buy these based on price - two pair for much less than the price of leather ones. I have welding leathers but needed something for more general work. I think these are going to work well and the price per pair is about the same as a pair of lower-end gloves. Now, all I have to do is remember to put them on. A minor abrasion on the back of my hand reminded me the first time!!

I was nervous about getting cut/scraped up while doing mission work in Alaska so I got these as a line of protection. They are warm so that's something to consider but my arms were protected after weeks of working outdoors. I did not try thing with a knife to see if they cut through that way.

I won’t know how they will be until my husband has used them.They do look sturdy and I’m sure they will save him from being poked or cutting his fragile arm skin.

After too many burns I Bought these to protect my arms while working on my dune buggy engine while the exhaust is hot. Have helped save me from burns multiple times. I keep them in my tool kit for breakdowns.

Comfortable to wear and light weight. would not really protect you from sharp edges like knives, but would protect against debris.

Tho the sleeves may be flame resistant they do not stop any Sparks from getting through, I still received small burns when welding and even while grinding.

Product didn't last a day. Within hours of use the upper part where the velcro is started separating. Didn't even bother using the second pair just gonna get a different kind.
