I bought this to mount my Garmin Exhomap Ultra 106sv, and it works great. A very sturdy mount for sure.

Solid. Taken boat out several times and Helix 9 has not moved. Heavy. Much cheaper $$$ than other ones. I don't find any blemishes. Happy with purchase.

Construction is impressive and rock solid. Holds 10†chart plotter with ease. Solid base for plotter and holds it firm during use & transit. Heavy duty parts that operate smoothly. Very impressed with product quality for price value compared with other brands. Highly recommend.

After spending thousands on new electronics for my bass boat I thought I would save money on a ball mount. For a new Helix 10 I choose this Scotty ball mount instead of RAM mounts that I usually buy.Does it do the job....yes it does. Even in rough water it's as solid and steady as the RAM mount that's mounted next to it, or on the bow. It's just not quite as nice.What I mean is... like the knob to adjust the sonar has to be almost complexly loosened before it will move. I'm sure this feature adds to it's rock solid stability while running at full speed...but it makes it a pain in the neck to adjust out on the water, while bent over on a rocking bass boat with a loose five pound sonar in one hand and trying to tighten the knob just enough to get the screen right where I need it. With the RAM, it's slightly loosen the knob and gently adjust the screen and then tighten it back....all under control.To me, it's like comparing a Chevrolet to a Cadillac...both do the same job effectively but one does it with a little more refinement and ease of operation. On the other hand the Scotty ball mount leaves forty or fifty bucks in your bank account, so the choice is your's. Am I satisfied with the Scotty ball mount?....yes. Would I buy it again?....probably not....I don't know, maybe.

Using it for my 9" Lowrance. Huge flexibility in any position you could want. And is very thick and sturdy, hardly any vibration is transferred.I was hesitating because of the plastic composition, but I now prefer it over metal. And the larger pivot balls are great.
