During Hurricane Michael I lost two panels of the side of my pools screen enclosure. I had never installed new screen before and am getting up there in age so was a bit intimidated by the project. I watched a couple videos both of which recommended these clips so I ordered them. They were great. It was like having a couple extra hands. They held the screen in place snugly and were fairly easy to install and remove even with my arthritic hands. I would definitely buy them again. Great product.

These inexpensive clips make screen replacement easier. They hold the screen in place and evenly so that one person can actually do the job.

I purchased these clips to use with installing "flat" screen spline. You don't need to use as many as the instructions suggest. They make installing screens (at least those using flat spline) by one person a snap. I highly recommend using these. I'd ALSO suggest using a plastic roller for the flat spline shown below. This spline tool I recommend using with the clips is not cheap, but well worth the investment... I am a screen-replacing novice who had to do an entire screen porch. Bought a big enough roll on Amazon, and started watching videos; one guy recommended clips so you can do it on your own. I needed to be able to do that, and honestly, I think these are ten times better than a helper would be.What makes these great: good directions! You’d think it was simple, but they’ve worked out the pattern to put them in that is most effective. Don’t reinvent the wheel, just follow what they say. It worked, beautifully, on every one of the giant screen panels I had to redo. I was able to replace six huge panels in two mornings, an hour or less for each. I could have gone faster, but I was really trying to get a good tension on the screens, and these clips made that possible.Twenty seems like a lot, but you need them all to do a good job. Since my screen panels were for a porch, and were huge, I could’ve used two packs, but one worked—because I put them in the way they suggest on the package. Then, as I took out clips from one area, I put them in to fill in any longer gaps in other areas. I like a six-inch path for the spline before running into a clip, but once the tension is set all around, the clips you remove from smaller areas can go right back into the bigger gaps, so that the area is maintained with proper tension as you work from clip to clip.Such a simple device, and such a huge help. I love that they should be able to fit in gaps of several widths; they fit for my 1/8 inch spline gap beautifully, probably could cover a 1/4 inch, too, because of their simple but effective design. The ‘spring’ of the clip is just from the tension in the metal, so it won’t fail easily. Easy on, easy off.Love this product. Now I’m not afraid to replace damaged screens, when the need arises, and I can do a professional-looking job without the cost. Looks a million times better than the repairs I tried before this; they looked pretty awful, even with highly rated repair products. A good spline roller, a good screen roll, and a pack of these babies, and you’re in business.

These clips hold the screen while you install the spine rubber very well. Makes installing the new screens a snap.

These really help to ensure uniform tautness of a screen. The parallel "legs" are an important feature (see product image). I laid 0.175" spline on lightweight (clear view) fiberglass screen. These clips help set a uniform path for that fat spline and weak screen.Buy two packs, and empty both into your pockets. As you work, some will go "boing" and jump far, far away. Having plenty at hand will keep you on the ladder (and out of the swimming pool). For this project, I used two spline tools: both ends of the ADFORS screen tool to push the spline in; following with the concave wheel of the Screen Mouse , to level out spline lumps and to seat spline and screen more deeply.See, also, rani's review ("Perfect Helper...").

Fortunately we escaped with minor damage in the direct path of Milton. I lost a few roof tiles and no leaks! I was able to replace the damaged lanai screening myself and these clips made it fast and simple, and ensured a tight screen!
