The 2" web belt is the higher quality stiff nylon belt. The stainless steel buckle is solid and tightly clamps the belt. The weight belt pockets have both velcro and a buckle clasp closure and was able to fit 5lb and 2lb lead soft weight into one pocket.

The belt will work. The only negative is the separation clips are too small and that allows the pouches to pass over them. It's not that big of a negative. I keep the weight pouches in place using line.

I found the buckle difficult to grasp and open. It should have a bigger bend in the buckle plate, so that fingers can find it, get a purchase on it, and open it quickly. As designed and delivered, this would be a very difficult dive belt to shed in an emergency. I will keep the belt, the weight pouches, and the belt stays, but I will not use the buckle due to safety concerns. I would advise any member of my team to use a different buckle, or as last resort, put this one in a vice and bend the buckle grasp outward - then do a safety check before using.

Let's discuss shipping first. They ship the weight belt in a clear ziplock bag. The first time it shipped I received an empty clear ziplock bag. Perhaps the bag accidentally opened, perhaps not.The reorder again came in a clear ziplock bag, this time it contained a weight belt.The weight belt is fairly easy to assemble and appears to be comfortable.

Bought this in case I needed to add weight over what my BCD could support. Turns out I didn't need it, but my dive partner (learning her open water cert) needed extra weight.Pros: it comes with 4 weight bags and 8 clips. You can add as many weight bags as you need. In our case, one on each hip with 4 lbs in each bag was perfect. Over her 7mm wetsuit, she didn't even feel the belt once in the water. The clasp is easy to attach, although I struggled a bit in figuring out how to thread the webbing through. Once I got the belt set up though, it was easy to use and the instructor said it was a good purchase.Cons: none really, it's a good belt.
