Well can't blame the starter kit if the plants don't want to grow, so I gave it a 5 star. It's very nicely made, lights work great and are easy to set and come on and turn off automatically, if that's what you want. Since early December, I've tried growing three different vegetable seeds inside my house using this planter and the lights. It's already February and haven't seen any growth from any of the seeds. Again, can't blame the starter kit, it's doing what it's designed for.

These trays are great for getting some starters going ! The area I live in doesn’t get some real sun until mid summer and these have been great for getting an early start to the planing season ! The lights seem to be making a huge difference, especially for the plants that need the longer light exposure and the humidity control is also helpful. The tools are great for getting gauging depth for seeds and the little shovel is the perfect size to scoop dirt for each pod, saving me the mess. The trays are super sturdy and I’m super excited that I’m able to reuse these !

So I like the little tools that it came with, it actually helps pop out clones and preps the cubes I use. The lights are kind of meh and just work well enough. The big issue is the fit of the dome. it kind of half clamps down into the bottom trey. Finally the timer had kind of odd pre programed times into it, of it had a 18/6 timer it would be pretty cool.One other thing is that for clones, this bad boy is just a hair too small. If the dome was an inch taller it would be perfect for small clones.

Bought these seed trays for my husband. He loves them. He opened them up and planted onion seeds right away. They are good quality and are easy to use. He is able to move them around when needed so they are sturdy. They have plenty of squares to use. Definitely recommend if starting seeds indoors.

Finally got to use this and it lasted only 2 weeks, now only one of the trays has working lights. Now I have to scramble to find a light locally. Once again, a product made cheap as possible but passed of with clever marketing to be far more than it is. When will companies realize if they make a quality product that actually lives up to their marketing, their company will do well and their customers will be happy and buy more of their products...probably never I believe is the answer to that.
