I plugged this in the day I bought it and have not turned it off to this day. Still working. I use this mat to warm my oil infusions! Great value

I use this for my sourdough starter. It's cold in my house during winter, so it helps to keep it active.

First of all I love the price of this - it was the cheapest I could find for a seedling mat. The heat output was great for my seeds, but I would definitely recommend buying a thermometer in conjunction with this to figure out the temp you need. The temp dial is a bit finicky and hard to get precise, hence the lower rating. But despite this it still worked well for my seedlings! For the great price I would recommend if you're willing to spend the extra time to figure out the dial.

I've been using this heat mat for a couple of years, and it's been doing the job. The temp dial could be more precise and better labeled, so if that's important to you then this may not be right for you. This does everything that I need it to though, so I'm happy with my purchase.

As others have said, this mat does not lay very flat. It is quite bumpy but that really doesn't affect my use for this mat. I purchased this mat because it draws 30 watts, whereas most every other warming mat is 17 to 20 watts. I am using this mat specifically for proofing dough and fermenting rye mash bread starters, and the little bit of extra power is just what I need to get a couple degrees more in my proofing box. I did check the wattage with a meter, and it does draw 30 watts at the highest setting. The adjustable thermostat is nice to accommodate different temperature needs.

To big for what I wanted, but heats up well. Long length would recommend

Although it gets the job done, I rate a 3 star because there’s no way of telling what temperature you’re setting it as. It took me 2 days to get the temperature I was looking for. Easy to use, it did get the job done eventually once I found my temp. It lays flat or you can wrap around fermentation jar. Doesn’t take up much space and it’s a good value for your money if you don’t mind the time to find your perfect temperature. Good for germination

The temperature in my kitchen during the winter is around 68 degrees so I have created a proofing box using this warming pad placed in a see through, lidded storage container that I purchased at Target. I just place the banneton (basket) with dough in it and allow it to rise. It is easy to see the progress with a see through container. I found by setting the dial about half way works just right for this purpose. This setup is more economical purchasing bread proofing boxes offered here.
