Love it, I don’t have an auto dark, so this makes it a lot easier to switch safely back and forth from welding to grinding. It does take some assembly, you have to cut out a bigger hole in your hood, but I don’t regret it at all.

Great product. Just me extra careful on how you cut your hood. No diagram so you must judge where to cut. The tricky part is where the screws go. I used a cut off wheel and it worked great. If I would have to do it again I would of used a multi tool or dremel for a finer cut.

Works really good and I love mine. Be super careful when installing it don't do like me and cut too much off one side. The back plate covers it up but not by a whole lot. It does add weight to the hood and I'm actually replacing my headgear because of it. The old racheat headgear in mine couldn't handle the weight but I was changing it out anyway. Good product just wish it was lighter and had an easier install.

This product seems to be well built, feels smooth but sturdy. Cutting and installing sure was a pain but take your time to get it centered. Only thing i did have to do is file the lid insert so my arc one lens would slide in other than that i have no complaints.

I bought this to attach to the cheap flip front helmets available here in NZ, because it has more room for lenses. It also has nice large handles to open up the lens while wearing welding gloves.The lens are loaded from the side through a hole, and the hole is too small for my auto darkening lens to fit through.I cut the hole wider using a dremel easy enough, so the auto darken can fit through easy now. I am thinking I might cut it bigger though, so I can slide in a cover lens + glass + cover lens in one go, so that the cover lenses do not scratch the glass on the way in.

I bought this to replace the flip up part of my Huntsman welding helmet. This flip up has a curved base and the Huntsman helmet has a flat face. This replacement did not fit and I had to return it. Unfortunately there are no replacement parts for Huntsman helmets and I had to buy a new one. I got 40 years out of the one I threw away so Huntsman is still a good value.

I like this flip front adaptor a lot! As a pipe fitter it saves me a lot of time not having to switch from a hood to a face shield. I have hoods with a grind mode, but this is still faster and lighter than a more modern hood. The install is pretty straight forward, but it would be very nice if they gave a template. Over all I’m very pleased for the price.

I like how easy and durable the flip mechanism is. Super customizable and easy to install. I was able to use both fix shade and auto darkening. I’m now able to efficiently switch between welding and grinding with better clarity. I’m very happy for this purchase and would recommend for any welder looking for a tough reliable option for their helmet.
